Catch Of The Day

WarGames.

VERY busy work week including evenings, so no blog template, and no hook, line, sinker, or river.  I have minimum time for a quick one.  Let’s move.

  1.  I went to a team function last night to the Rockies game.  When did playing the Hunger Games theme suddenly become a regular thing during games?  Why?  I have so many questions.
  2. The Eagles showed promise again with their young QB and officially get the truth and a loss next week against Pittsburgh.  The Bears once again showed they have no promise in the near future.
  3. Hey, A.P. owners, sorry about your loss.  To be short, I know the feeling very well, and dodged him this year in my draft.
  4. I still chuckle every time the Ice Tea-Lemonade commercial comes on.  It is not getting old with me.  READ THE SIGN.
  5. Wow, Yasiel Puig IS at least ACTING humble, as him sending the T-Shirt with #dontlookatme on it across the field was pretty funny.
  6. They might have to start moving beer stands if Giancarlo Stanton keeps belting HR’s 466.
  7. Another good day with round ice.  Say it isn’t going anywhere.  SAY it.
  8. Pretty cool.  I was there and agree there was a lot of class going around.  http://ohiostate.247sports.com/Bolt/Ohio-State-fan-praises-Sooner-fans-in-open-letter-47623554
  9. The USA hockey team was built as a tough team.  Great.  Both teams they played suffocated that toughness with…talent.
  10. At least the US hockey team got out of the World Cup of Hockey before the anthem-kneeling thing hit a HUGE speed bump.  Probably better there are no more anthems with THAT coach.
  11. …especially with this Charlotte shooting…
  12. Well, I have plenty of time to think about it, but put me down for the UNDER on that 66.5 Warriors wins bet.  Too many other good teams.  Not enough basketballs for that team.
  13. IF Mayweather tried to do the fight with McGregor, then those were the quietest negotiations I have ever seen.
  14. Hey, ACC.  I get it.  Possible problem.  BUT, maybe play a few more games before hiring a contractor to “figure out” what happens with a three way tie?
  15. In case you were confused.  Bill Belichick is a lot of things.  But.  Not a doctor.
  16. Not sure why I smiled that LeSean McCoy was getting sued by those officers, but I did.
  17. I LOVE the Eliminator on ESPN.  I read it weekly in detail.  This is probably the earliest in a while that Notre Dame was eliminated.
  18. I walked about a third of the way to Coors Field when I realized I forgot my tickets.  I believe that is 304th time or so I have forgotten or lost tickets to some event.  Many, many stories…
  19. My Lyft driver said he used to be a Cornhuskers fan when growing up in Nebraska and then became a Buffaloes fan when he moved to Denver.  I didn’t think that was possible.  I know many Huskers fans.  Guy must hate football or something and not care.
  20. I am a pretty passionate Steelers fan, but at least Lindsey doesn’t have to fend off this:  http://www.wpxi.com/news/hot-topics/sofia-vergara-talks-about-hubby-joe-manganiellos-steelers-obsession-on-the-tonight-show/448285936
  21. Adam Jones has problems with racial imbalance in the MLB.  He has problems with home crowds in Baltimore.  Can’t wait to hear what is next.
  22. Glad to see my QB, Big Ben, is still placing in the top five of most disliked player in the NFL.  Way to come strong, Ben.
  23. My company is hosting a conference this week, and what that means to me is a higher alert level…like WarGames.  Defcon’s.  My alert system is based on the possibility of leftover, free food.  Sandwiches, pizza, whatever.  An extra cheese plate with proscuitto and a side of mac and cheese would probably be the Holy Grail.  I guess I could think about what makes me happier than free food, but I don’t know if I would get anywhere.
  24. Geez, Josh Gordon.  Just be good for like three months straight, man.
  25. That’s it for today.  Will I blog tomorrow?  That is a CLOWN question, bro.  Peace.
