Air Cast

The Cast 112718

SETTING:

This would be an airplane rant, as it used to be called, and I am calling it the “Air Cast” today.  It means a couple of things.  It means I am writing without internet checks, so forgive any inaccuracies.  It means I am writing it in one sitting.  It means only slight organization has been done.  It means my flight time will “fly” by.  And it means that I am on a plane obviously.  Speaking of planes, I feel the need…the need for speed.

Let’s turn and burn.

EVERGREEN (topics that don’t fade away):

THE MATCH

  • I had a lot of feelings going into The Match with Phil and Tiger. I had excitement about pitting the two top players of this generation against each other, no matter their age.  I had a great fuzzy feeling about watching two players relentlessly gamble on the course and have us hear about it.  I had skepticism about what money was theirs, what money was sponsorships, and how much we should believe of any of it.  But most of all, I felt fear that they wouldn’t present this the right way.  My fears were realized unfortunately.  And, although I enjoyed watching them play the course in the PPV (eventually refunded) event, I had my problems with it.  Here are some comments for the creators in case they do another round of the same or different players.
    • I mainly worried about what they would do between tee and fairway and fairway and green. It was painfully obvious on the holes where they shoved a camera in their face and gave them ideas for chatting.  Examples:  talk about the course, talk about the weather, talk about your caddies, talk about what you did before this, talk about some random other sporting event to make us realize how cool you are playing for this much money.    If the creators of this thing weren’t in some sort of pain watching their telecast, then we need new creators.
    • I get that the event is based on betting. We all get it.  But, the constant hole by hole probabilities and real time betting results got old very quickly.  Additional info we don’t need unless we are at a sports book in Vegas (or other places now).  And the smart people sitting in a room doing their OWN betting don’t care about the results either.
    • It was funny that Barkley made fun of the quality of play. And, he sort of had a good point.  But, let’s be honest with everyone.  The win percentage in golf is lower than any other sporting event out there.  You can’t guarantee a great player will play great on a certain day.  Golf is too hard.  Therefore, instead of poking fun at their level of play, maybe talk about how hard it is to expect them to be masters of their craft on the one day they televise this thing.  In a normal event, they would have three other days to balance it out.  In a match play event, TV would just move on to a better match.  It is basically telling Phil and Tiger to LOOK YOUR BEST on THIS day, guys.  That is impossible, and that is what makes golf so amazing.
    • That being said, the Phil bunker to bunker hit WAS pretty atrocious.
    • No breaks after the 9th hole, guys. The telecast was tough enough in some ways to watch in the first place, let alone give them a nice break like golfers on their couch get on the weekend with buddies.  Let’s keep this thing tidy and locked in.
    • I found it very hard in understanding what was their money and what was other money. What started as a bet turned into a sponsorship filled, ambiguous, confusing exchange of money from one group to another with no real feeling of huge personal penalty if they missed.
    • Oh, and IF they were pained about the money lost, I want to feel it. So, let’s either have them give to charities but somehow make us feel like it hurts their wallet, or find another system all together.  They looked like they were having a blast losing money, and that is no good either.
    • The tweets were funny they pulled after each hole and showed on the telecast. Maybe show more of THEM while they are walking up the fairway in awkward conversation.
    • Oh, and I don’t even mind if they don’t talk to each other at ALL. It doesn’t have to feel like a friendly pow-wow, and not sure who went down THAT path.  If it is money wagered, let them be mean and silent…or talking vicious trash to each other.  It is PPV-who says it needs to be family friendly?
    • I love the NBA TNT guys.   But, Turner couldn’t pull the real golf announcers to make it more real?  The jokes were great only if they continued to do jokes during the awkward silence-otherwise some European with an accent using weird phrases and cliches like the Majors would have made me happy.
    • Really? On a longest drive “bet,” Phil hits it in a bunker and Tiger does the same thing?  Best golfer we have ever seen can’t hit it ANYWHERE in the fairway?  Sad, and started getting me on the conspiracy bandwagon while watching.
    • I missed Virginia-Virginia Tech football for this match. My parents would have rather been watching that too.  Can we brainstorm other times to do this event besides the holiday weekend that is known for football?
    • And, if you ARE going to have it during football, how about this? Golf carts.  Let’s have them play 18 in 2.5 hours or less.  That sounds magical.
    • I noticed AFTER the fact that the betting was like soccer. So, given my conspiracy theories around this event, I CERTAINLY would have bet on a tie, just because that is too adorable for this PPV event.  Of COURSE they should tie after 18 holes.  How CAN’T they?
    • Lose the microphones. Let them be more natural.  I would rather catch 10% of a conversation from a distance that might be about a juicy side bet than hear crappy TV talk when they know they are on the air.
    • Don’t publicize the bets on TV. Let us hear what we can, put together the bits best we can, and they can tell us later.
    • I wanted them to throw clubs and be PISSED. I didn’t ask for some happy-go-lucky match with betting.
    • But I loved it and would rent it again.

NFL TD CELEBRATIONS

  • Not sure how we filter out the subpar ones, but I am on both sides of the whole NFL TD celebration debate. When I see one after a TD when the team is down 30 and they are just putting their practice and rehearsals to work, I hate it.  When I see one that isn’t creative, I hate it.  But, when I see some of the Seahawks’ ones, I LOVE them.  They leave it to us to figure out, and given that, the celebrations are ENDLESS.  The Seahawks did the Iverson “stepover” (included below in links) and it was INCREDIBLE and RANDOM and SPOT ON.  I am not saying I want them to rehearse and practice instead of practicing their actual craft, but IF we are allowing this stuff, make it good, dammit.  For example, Amari Cooper doing his best Markelle Fultz broken free throw was ALSO hilarious.  I guess I also seem to think, after reading this, that I think cross-sports or non-football celebrations are the best.  Also, I was at the Broncos game Sunday and they were doing TURNOVER celebrations.  Now, of course, I wasn’t in the mood to see these things given the team they were celebrating taking it away from, but I am all for this too.  Let the defense have fun too.  Also, though, make them GOOD.

NFL RUNNING QB’S

  • Why is everyone suddenly enamored with Lamar Jackson? Why is everyone talking about his running ability?  This is cyclical and I guess we are back there again.  We had Doug Flutie, Randall Cunningham, Michael Vick (pre-dog abuse), and others and it was fun to watch.  We have semi-versions in Wilson, Mariota, Mahomes, and had RPO’s with Kaep and Griffin III.  So, why does everyone care so much NOW about how different he is?  I don’t get it.  Listen, it is the same old thing of balance.  Karate Kid stuff.  Don’t run-stay uninjured.  Run too much-get injured.  Run somewhere in the middle and no one cares too much.  We KNOW great athletes will get to the top of the heap at the QB position and we know it is great that happens.  But, stop acting like it is some phenomenon we haven’t seen yet.  We have.  Offenses will adjust.  Defenses will adjust.  Coaches will adjust.  It will go out of vogue.  It will come back into vogue.  Let’s just ride the rollercoaster like we already know where the hills and loops are.  And pray the crazy new runners don’t get hurt before the party really begins.

ATTENDING NFL GAMES VS. MY COUCH

Why my couch is better than going to a Broncos game

  • Watching the Golden Child fumble the ball a week after dropping a lay-up pass (luckily they still won that) in person was much more painful.
  • Going on your birthday and losing to the home team sucks.
  • I will say that the chest bump/ Wolf of Wall Street bit was fun.
  • I will say that learning Von Miller is the best dancer by far was fun.
  • The game has funny in between stuff, but I use those breaks for bathroom and food at home.
  • Need a replay on a key fumble at the goal line?
  • The “incomplete” chant is painful in person.
  • The horse noise AFTER that chant is also irritating.
  • The announcer at the Broncos game does not help me with information.
  • Other Steelers fans, for the most part, are jerks.
  • Bud Light as the official sponsor really confuses me.
  • Having a beer or two and having to go wait in long piss lines sucks.
  • I will say that I can’t pick out the glam rock songs in between plays as well as in the stadium.
  • ACDC and Ozzy are not my favorite bands, but somehow become fun during a game.
  • Getting out of there after a loss sucks.

WARRIORS SANS CURRY/GREEN

  • The Warriors are good with one star. They are ridiculous with all of their stars.  But, we have seen in recent weeks who might be the most important players.  I am not splitting the atom, but just noting it has been much more obvious VERY recently.  Kevin Durant changes defenses, sure.  Klay Thompson allows you to NOT leave ANY guy open.  But, the Warriors without Draymond Green and Steph Curry, either both or one at a time, makes them look barely above pedestrian (ok, that might be exaggerating but you get where I am coming from).  Guys are not as open when Curry is not on the floor.  Plain and simple.  He isn’t just a spot up three-point shooter, so you need to watch the drive more than when Klay is spotting up.  Steph might not GET the assist on a particular play, but he generates it by starting to get the defense off-balance.  And Green?  Sure, he is a slightly spoiled, complaining, hot headed idiot in many cases.  But, him being ON that team basically started the trend of position-less basketball.  He changed the game.  And, just when some think you can just plug in another agile center/forward guy, you can’t.  He is special in a lot of ways.  And, I personally am not so sure they can beat the Celtics or Raptors in the NBA Finals without him out there every single game.  Like I said, this is not splitting the atom, and Thompson and Durant ARE special players, but these last few weeks have shown me what I already suspected.  This team was born and still runs on those two.

TEXAS OU II

  • When ranking the best football rivalries, you won’t get too far down the list without hitting this one. I have been to the Red River Showdown, and it breathes football, hatred, respect, and competitiveness.  So, isn’t it PERFECT that the Big 12 has come down to this?  You get A) the rivalry B) an OU team suddenly on even par with an Ohio State team and needing to prove itself C) Texas can ruin all of that single handedly D) OU can redo its ONE loss (not many teams get that chance in a season) E) one way or the other, Texas can feel a little “back” but a win would BE back.  This is special, folks.  Soak it in.  Watch the game.  Watch a pure rivalry with college football playoff implications.  And since OU has blitzed the over each of the last three weeks (I personally KNOW this), you probably will get a lot of points, and that is fun, right?

HARISTYLES IN SPORTS

  • People in sports make money. People in sports can do what they want pretty much.  But, isn’t there a limit on what they can have freedom with?  I believe with all of that money, they at least can’t look like a homeless guy who got into a football game.  And I fully support individualism.  That is cool.  Wear your mullet, Mike Gundy.  That is on purpose and is funny.  But, watching the WVU-OU game last week, I saw what I believe is over the line.  Dana Holgorsen has got to reel it in.  I know his paycheck will cover a barber trip.  And I am not being communist about people losing their hair and what they should do.  I am just saying to have some respect for yourself and others you associate yourself with.  Dana’s hairstyle is confusion between baldness, curliness, a mullet, oldness, and lack of direction.  Oh, and to add insult to injury, he wears a VISOR that shows the misdirection OFF.  Fix it, man.  I am kind of glad you AREN’T in the Big 12 Championship, as I can’t take another week of that.

SCARY MOVIES/SHOWS:

  • I have said it in my blog a million times that A) no scary movie has been released since The Shining aside from The Conjuring B) you don’t need blood to make it scary and C) I will continue to wait patiently for someone to realize all of this. Well, I have my first reward.  True, I am writing this only three episodes in, but I recognize brilliance already.  The Haunting of Hill House has done it.  The premise is we know something happened to an entire family way back when.  We see them in present day, and realize they are all messed up mentally because of whatever happened.  Now, with frequent time warps back and forth, we get information.  Scary information.  Non-bloody information.  Information that messes with our HEADS, not our fear of blood.  I will hold off on writing more on this as I continue through the season of this show, but WILL say if you have not seen it, you need to get on the wagon WITH me right now.  Turn the lights down, light a candle, hold a black cat in your lap (or maybe you are lucky and don’t own one of those), and good luck.
    • People in horror movies need white noise apps
    • The theme music to the show sounds SO much like Westworld.

WEEK-FISH (current topics of interest in sports):

NFL

  • Anyone want to play the Colts right now? Andrew Luck has thrown at least three TD’s in EIGHT straight games.
  • I remember reading a LOT of articles last year when the Jags signed Blake Bortles as their QB choice about how they were choosing wrong. But, I didn’t need to read any of those articles.  We all thought it was obvious.  Now, he is benched, and they fired their offensive coordinator.  I love people who go against the grain, and many of those non-popular decisions end up being right, but this writing was on the wall.  He was just a cool dude who played QB at a smaller school with a hot girlfriend who got Googled a lot…because of her.
  • The Seahawks have oddly won their last FOUR trips to Carolina.
  • I wish Baker Mayfield would have gone to ANY other team aside from one in the AFC North. Why, Baker?  I LOVED you in college, but you playing for the Steelers’ rival just doesn’t work.  Anyway, since Hue left, he trails only Drew Brees in QB rating.  BUT, let your play do the talking, bro.  You don’t need to diss Hue Jackson for going to a rival or the media in interviews.  Your play is backing you up and then some.  Four TD’s has that effect after a game.  People, the Browns are 1.5 games out of a playoff spot.  Just saying…
  • I am confused about Jalen Ramsey. Yes, high draft pick.  Yes, he will be very, very good.  But, don’t you have to BE good consistently at least for a while before mouthing off on every QB?  I even can let the first round of QB bashing go to rest.  All good.  But, he again called Josh Allen “trash” after their most recent loss.  You are sounding bitter now with no foundation to yell from.  You are sounding like a talk-shit guy when you haven’t proven yourself.  And, you are just sounding like the young idiot on a squad that needs more than media backlash to get back on the track with all of your recent losses.
  • The Rolling Stones parody “Beast and Burden” about the NFC East was HILARIOUS pregame on Sunday. Awesome.   https://duv-vest.com/news/sport/1126201899911485/cowboys-and-eagles-garner-buzz-but-redskins-are-still-in-the-thick-of-nfc-east-race/
  • Drew Brees through four touchdowns to four different UNDRAFTED Saints players Thursday.
  • Why were all of the Thanksgiving Day games NFC teams? We know Dallas and Detroit have the right, but can’t they play someone wild and crazy from the AFC?
  • I know Aaron Rodgers has a master plan, but when you are 0-6 on the road with two more road games to go, you aren’t on the path to the playoffs.
  • And the fact that they are losing and he still gives a million to fight the CA wildfires says something about his priorities.
  • I hated the Steelers loss Sunday in Denver, but I loved THIS story. Shelby Harris had the game-winning INT for the Broncos, and got his game ball (actually), and headed directly to the hospital to watch his wife give birth to a child of theirs.  Talk about a good day.  Ice Cube would be proud.
  • East Coast time sucks. I was thinking about laying low before bed after a nice day with my parents and the Saints hadn’t even kicked off the final game on Thanksgiving.
  • I think it would be tough to be a Lions fan, even without Jeopardy making fun of them. On the Thanksgiving game, Stafford had TWO chances to tie or win on drives with plenty of time left, and threw two BAD INT’s both times.  The first was rookie-ish.  The second was miscommunication and an overthrow with his receiver.  Feast or famine it seems with that guy.  He is slowly becoming our generation’s Jeff George if he doesn’t watch himself.
  • I love when they ask trivia questions on Thanksgiving about all-time NFL records on that day. . who from Dallas or Detroit has THAT one?
  • I am glad we had enough going on over the holiday to somewhat submerge A.P.’s brilliant media statement about still beating his kid. Come on, man.  It is one thing to DO it in the first place.  It is another to come “clean” to the press when you are already not the most likeable guy.  A) Quit hitting your kid and B) stop talking about how you treat your kids, either way, to the press.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL

  • I just read an NFL mock draft before getting on the plane, and Clemson has THREE defensive lineman in the first 12 picks…as we expected preseason of course, but wow.
  • When the ref got hurt and cut in the OU-WVU game last week, did that ref go through concussion protocol? I don’t think so, and HIS decisions are pretty important too.
  • So, although Mike Leach is an offensive mastermind, I guess looking at the weather and having a Plan B for his squad is not a top skill of his. That snow killed them for what they do.  But, the flip side of the coin is that Washington WAS a top 5 or 10 team preseason too.  On paper, they were legit, and the snow just allowed them to be them.
  • Man, I hope you didn’t watch that UCF QB injury too many times. Shame that IF craziness would occur, they COULD be in the playoff, but without him.  Heal up, McKenzie.
  • But, at least they are getting a lazy river by their football stadium. That is pretty stellar and I am jealous.
  • I would too. You hear some stories about how Kyler Murray might still play football next year.  Those stories are usually from my wife from OU people HOPING.  Anyway, I just saw an update this weekend on him.  From the horse’s mouth, he will do as well as he can this year, and then take the $5 million and run next year.
  • Mack Brown going to UNC to coach them again is smart on his part (not sure about UNC, but that is neither here nor there). Texas=championship expectations.  North Carolina=happy for bowl games, any level.  Like the Mad TV skit years ago, he now has ‘lowered expectations.”
  • So, in the rivalry that is UVA and Virginia Tech in football, UVA has lost EVERY game since 2003. Not a misprint and downright scary.  I guess I am just happy that we are again at the point where it is doubtful they will beat us at basketball too.
  • About OU… Their defense IS bad. I get it.  And, when debating between Ohio State and Oklahoma, know that Ohio State’s inconsistencies are what kills their points.  At least OU’s offense continues to put up numbers.  THAT is consistent no matter what the defense does.  And Maryland posting 51 on OSU two weeks ago helped a little.  Yes, Ohio State has the better win (against Michigan), but do we boost up a rivalry win THAT much?  I say no.  And, of course, since I married into Sooner nation, not sure if you should buy that explanation.
  • Speaking of consistency, I am glad FSU decided to end the year laying an egg against UF also. Glad rivalry games don’t get THEM up at all.  Never saw them being THIS bad, and somewhere Jimbo is drunk on a couch loving every minute of it.
  • Which overtime of that game did you A) get notified by your friends and B) actually tune into watch. They even replayed the game on Monday from 31-31 ON…
  • USC beat the spread against Notre Dame, people, even if it was a last minute, waste of time TD. That says something about the direction of the program, right?  They fought a little?  They will be fine.  I love that QB they have (Daniels).  Class kid with supreme talent.
  • So, I guess the theme of Georgia Tech football this year is A) they are really bad in a game or B) they are really good in a game. Hardly any middle ground with them.
  • I know Duke football is new to the decent world, and they have basketball, and they don’t have any true football rivals. But, WAKE?  Wake destroyed you at HOME?  If there are critics out there about where your program is, they just resurfaced and then some.
  • When I watched Texas Tech score at will against Houston earlier in the year, I thought I was watching a pretty good team (aside from the defense). Then, they kind of flatlined.  If I would have guaranteed one win last weekend in a game between two teams BOTH fighting for bowl eligibility, it would have been them.  Crazy that Baylor took them down relatively easily.
  • Gimme’s in life. The Broncos win when I attend.  Bama does the opposite of whatever I bet in their game.  I took 25.5 and Auburn in a rivalry game.  Bama cleared 30 on them.  I can’t win with Bama.
  • Tell your friends. When judging the worst defenses EVER in college football history, this year’s UCONN squad just took over as #1.
  • So, is NEXT year back to a year when we don’t expect anything from Wisconsin and then they almost run the table? Think so.  Anyway, we are now done the year where they were supposed to be playoff contenders and then just lost their last game to Minnesota…at Wisconsin.  Yes, I know they lost their QB later in the season, but some teams you should STILL beat.

COLLEGE BASKETBALL

  • When someone like UNC loses to Texas in hoops, you write it off and then move on. But, when your next five games (in a ridiculous part of their schedule) are UCLA, Michigan, UNCW, Gonzaga, and Kentucky, you kind of NEED to know why you lost to Texas, right?  Brutal stretch and they could have the best strength of schedule wins in the country or be needing a strong conference season just to get IN anywhere in March.  I am exaggerating though.  They will win a few of those, but WOW Roy really jammed those kids up.  That is Tom Izzo-esque.
  • Speaking of strength of schedule, woohoo. The first NET rankings are out.  For those of you living in a college basketball vacuum, these are the rankings we are using this year for the first time ever to piss us off when teams are left out and get in at the end of the year.  It is more complicated, but simplifying it…schedule strength and margin of victory rule.  Anyway, guess who is #1?  Ohio State.    I believe Duke #6.  Loyola Marymount is #10.  THAT all sounds accurate.
  • Props to Kent State for bringing on basketball’s first autistic player in Division 1.
  • Gonzaga is now #1. That is not the scary part, as they were preseason top 5 with experience on their squad.  THIS is the scary part.  They beat Duke without one of their best inside guys, Killian Tillie.
  • Killian is such a cool name. I would take that name.  My brother is Matt, I am Mark, and I always wonder if I was one more back if my mom would have named me Luke, which would have been ultimate coolness in grade school during the Star Wars revolution.
  • Vandy’s PG, Darius Garland is hurt and out. The masses never got to know him, but he was Vandy’s highest recruit like…ever.  Now, I will just have to keep reminding you about when he is coming back.
  • Hope you watched Duke vs. Indiana tonight-the ACC-Big Ten Challenge is so awesome each year.

NBA

  • We don’t have to worry about anyone breaking any wins record this year in the NBA. Everyone is kind of sticking together.  Who would have thought the Clippers were in the conversation as the best team in the West.  Who would have thought the Cavs would beat the 76ers at home?  Who would have thought that Orlando is leading their horrible division at a 10-10 clip?
  • So, Kyrie Irving now thinks the earth is flat and that Thanksgiving sucks. Man, he is picking some weird enemies.  I know you have Indian heritage, bro, but go eat some turkey and take a nice nap with your relatives.

MLB

  • How adorable. Harper grew up a Yankees fan, became a very unlikeable guy, and now will be the richest in the sport, most likely from his beloved Yankees.  And Machado SAYS he is not a jerk, but he is, so might as well reel in both of them, right?  The Yankees might be realizing that being the Evil Empire IS having the keys to the city.
  • The Orioles hired a former NASA employee on their staff. I guess being smarter and still being bad is an improvement, right?

NHL

  • The Flyers fired their GM, Ron Hextall. This is ironic.  They say it was because he wanted a different direction than what they had in mind.  What is ironic then?  I will tell you.  As a GM, he was passive, boring, and reactive.  He never pulled the trigger on a big move.  When he PLAYED, a different story.  He is one of five players that lost the Stanley Cup Finals and still pulled the Conn Smythe, he was the first goalie to score on an empty net, and the first goalie to score in the playoffs.  He basically played the opposite than how he brought in players.

  • We met a guy who told me the coolest Thanksgiving ritual I have ever heard. He wasn’t there because he picked the short straw with his sister.  They have a farm in MD, and the night before Thanksgiving, the guys go out and hunt the meal while the girls drink.  Then, when the guys get home, they drink and watch football while the girls cook whatever turkey, deer, or pig they shot.
  • The new Lion King looks pretty cool, I will say.

  • Bobby’s in Vero Beach is known for their French Dip. It is really, really good.  But, the truth is that I can’t eat another French Dip or chicken sandwich and FULLY enjoy it, as I know those sandwiches at the White House in Aspen reign supreme…forever.
  • I had a Seinfeld conversation with my colleague the other day. He said his wife was “holding up the wagon” on watching The Haunting of Hill House.  I said “is that even a cliché,” and that led into obvious Seinfeld references about the wagon and such.
  • Never hurts to ask I always say. I got B43 on my flight out to CA because I forgot.  They had a cancellation the day of, and I ended up with A10.
  • Of course, this didn’t overtake my enjoyment of watching a newbie flyer who was behind me try and find HIS seat.
  • I shaved today, even though it is not the end of Movember. Two reasons.  A) I have important clients to meet this week and don’t feel like explaining my horrible attempt at a beard. B) If they did ask about how much money I raised, I would have to tell them zero except what I put into the pot.
  • Ohio is the first state to let businesses pay taxes with BitCoin. Good luck with THAT.  That type of currency is SO confusing.
  • I feel like we should have already had a ship on Mars researching the interior of the planet. Maybe we can ask the Orioles guy about it.
  • Although I sell TV’s and software, that doesn’t mean I am good at setting up our DirecTV remotes with new TV’s. I had to have Lindsey do it.
  • I SELL digital signage, and still think the Pena Blvd outdoor screens might be the worst waste of money…like ever.
  • I think I love traveling in my UVA pullover, cargo shorts, and flip flops more than life itself.

BY THE NUMBERS:

340

306

THIS WEEK’S LIST:

No time.  This WILL be something in my blog, but just haven’t had an obvious one to do in a while.

THE RIDDLE:

Nothing today.  Again, this WILL be a thing, just not yet.  Cue the guy from Gladiator talking to Mr. Crowe.

(actually, the first person who figures out what the numbers are in “by the numbers,” I will send $20 to…one guess only per person.

CLOSING:

That’s it for today.  Hope you enjoyed or are at least more informed.  Remember two things.  First, feed yourself, feed your family, but always, always remember to…feed the wolf.  Second,  if you can’t spot the sucker in your first half hour at the table, then you are the sucker.  Will I blog again?  That is a CLOWN question, bro.

Old school…it STILL is an “airplane rant” technically.

PICS:

This is where I Sat during the Broncos game.

Here is present Vince (very good friend of mine and mentor)

Here is what Vince might look like when he is older, and a band member playing at Waldo’s in Vero Beach.

Me and Linds at my birthday dinner

Here was the best part of that meal…the fat candle.

It was great to see my parents.

Here was the dinner Lindsey prepared for them.

My mom was caught in the KITCHEN!

Lindsey tried to help with their puzzles.

Brad Pitt has a side job in Vero Beach in a band apparently.

My final Movember photo this morning before I shaved.

And just some pretty Vero Beach photos from our trip.

And, in case you care about what I threw back in the pond, here you go…
