Catch Of The Day

I can feel the Game 7 stress from both fan bases already…

Speed round day again.  I have a going away happy hour tomorrow and Game 7 of the World Series, so probably don’t want a long list for tomorrow.

  1.  Greetings and salutations, people.  Thanks for coming aboard (the boat).  Let’s move speed round style.  More than one small sentence is allowed though should I choose to do that.  So, a SEMI-speed round cast.
  2. We are never sure these days if the subscribers are out there or not, but somehow yesterday the post was sent, but not to everyone.  I didn’t change a thing.
  3. Watching the baseball game and it is 7-2.
  4. I get my wish of a Game 7 for these two troubled fan bases.  I hope tomorrow goes 20 innings too so one fan base is really in pain for another year.
  5. Hey, people with Jamal Charles on your fantasy football team.  How are things for you?  At least you don’t have to deal with the waiver wire checking and he is just either way out or way IN.
  6. The Aggies bumped a power conference unbeaten team, Penn State got elevated a little, and so did Auburn.  Sure, we can learn about the committee’s METHODS, but LOTS of football left so let’s just take the first rankings for what they are…the first rankings.
  7. The media told me that Jay Cutler gave a riveting pregame speech before MNF.  Listen, you can sell me on the fact that Minnesota laid an egg, but there is NO way I will believe that Jay Cutler pumped up ANYONE.
  8. There are plenty of niche singers to like on the VERY competitive voice, but my new favorite might be that dude Austin who busted out Breakdwon by Petty VERY well.
  9. We get a Game 7 and then I wonder if my intern comes back from Cleveland.  Doug, hope you are well.  Readers, this is rushed and unedited, so sorry for grammatical errors.
  10. I am writing this so late, because you have your kids and stuff, and I have two cats, where sometimes one of them needs to be taken to get groomed.  Ugghhh.
  11. No lion’s cut for the little man though…couldn’t do it to the guy.  #twocatmark
  12. I have a feeling the SNL Election Special might be very funny Monday.
  13. The article in ESPN Mag about Belachick…again…is very, very good.  Great read.
  14. Jim Kelly says Tom Brady is the best ever, I beg to differ only because of Joe Montana, and I still wonder what Kelly’s legacy would have been with just ONE Super Bowl win out of those four attempts.
  15. I can’t wait for the media to tell me Tebow is healthy again.
  16. Yes, that was extreme sarcasm.
  17. I personally am not supporting Joe bringing out Chapman up 7-2 in the SEVENTH again.  Why?
  18. It is too early in the season for me to really care too much about Westbrook-Durant I, but it sure still is fun.
  19. You can love or hate college basketball and I will deal with it…BUT this is the most fun for freshman across the nation in a WHILE.  You will be watching 3-4 future mega-stars in the NBA this year.
  20. Hey, Ronda Rousey, I care about you fighting one of your last fights at UFC 207 as I do Tebow’s baseball injury status.
  21. Whether you admit it or not, did you do a double take on Ray Allen’s retirement and ask yourself “thought he did already?  oh, yeah, right…not yet.”
  22. The news that UCLA will lose Josh Rosen for the year is ALMOST as painful as them being 3-5.
  23. I am a guy who truly is hoping Michael Carter-Williams stays healthy and shows the world what he can do on the court.  Dude is amazing, came out a year early from school, and is hurt again.
  24. Price tag on the 4 game ban for Trent Williams.  $1.6 MILLION.  Dude.  Stop it with the banned drugs.
  25. So…the 76ers traded a marginal swing man for yet another PF/C?  They do realize you need small guys to shoot and bring the ball up the court, right?
  26. I think a great group game would be who the Sixers will get by trading Noel and Okafor.
  27. I think if the Cubs win the World Series, LeBron should be blamed a LITTLE for his 3-1 prop teasing the Warriors.  Karma is a bitch.
  28. For the record, I am rooting for the Tribe tomorrow.  I would rather have the shorter curse end to make the longer curse REALLY long.  Plus, the Cubs aren’t going anywhere downhill with their lineup.
  29. By the way, I didn’t wait until the end of the game to post this.  If the Tribe came back and this post doesn’t make sense for them, HURRAH for them.
  30. That’s it for today.  Hope you enjoyed or are at least more informed.  Will I blog tomorrow?  That is a CLOWN question, bro.  Peace.
