Catch Of The Day

Don’t poke the bear.

Thoughts for the day…

  1. Tell me you saw the Cowboys fan who woke up with a hangover and one less 70″ television.  Not a good move.  Guess some other activities took over on MLK Day for his peeps.  No tube.  I tweeted it if you want to see it.
  2. I get the final result of not bringing Tony Romo to Denver in the long run, but not even worth a phone call?  Quick visit?  I don’t want to hear them complain about not having a ready to go QB next year if they are so against this one.
  3. The Broncos need to pick a way and stick to it.  two different offenses are needed to optimize each QB on the roster.  That will not be fluid.  Either start the first round QB, go with the Northwestern kid and trade the first rounder, or bring someone else in.
  4. Watch the Anthony Davis injury from today one and one time only.  K?
  5. Once again, so refreshing of a hiring cycle this time around.  With San Fran still to decide, we now have EIGHT minority coaches.  Thank you, Rooney Rule.
  6. Josh McDaniels is rumored to be staying put with the Pats.  Smart guy.  Listen, he might as well hang out with Tom Brady for another year or two until the PERFECT job comes along.  He can possibly get another title or two, and hand pick his head coaching position.
  7. Amazed at some stats that sneak by me somehow.  There is NO way I would have thought that yesterday’s game was Jason Witten’s FIRST playoff TD.  That is unbelievable.
  8. This is a good comparison if you ask me.
  9. Those passes he threw at the end were so freaking money.
  10. So, you are the biggest Cubs fan among White Sox fans?  That is just weird and isn’t a logical statement, right, Obama?  Or do you have a “second team.?”  Which  is not allowed in my rules so you know…
  11. I am saving pics from the weekend for another day.  No fun blog today.  Just a blog.
  12. I bet you this 9 year old could easily take the guy who took out his own TV.  http://deadspin.com/i-am-terrified-by-this-9-year-old-girl-who-can-ruin-a-t-1791208984
  13. I never thought I would be worried about Darth Raider’s feelings, but I kind of am.  SUCKS to lose your team and can’t imagine it as I have said before.
  14. I think that it is hard to argue with his stats.  Cool story still.  But, I am hoping Isaiah Thomas waiving off his coach on a play is a very isolated incident.  Worked out great of course the other night, but can’t  dismiss one of the best play calling coaches TOO much.
  15. Regarding the Chargers, here is one take I liked on it.
  16. Gonzaga beat a very, very good team in St. Mary’s Saturday night.
  17. Along with saving all of the pics, I am also saving the very special picture for a rainy day.  It will be worth it.
  18. I don’t have time to do the whole draw breakdown, but give me Murray on the men’s side, and put me shotgun on the Karolina Pliskova bandwagon as Kerber, Williams, and other top ten players are not impressing thus far.
  19. What’s going to suck about this Grayson Allen thing is when someone, and there will be a someone, starts faking being tripped and tries to trick the ref.  Something like that is bound to happen.
  20. Who cares as long as Duke keeps losing.  They won’t keep losing of course, and AT Louisville wasn’t a huge upset, but fun to hope.
  21. Concerned about scoring only six field goals?  No.  Going into Arrowhead and winning in any way possible is a huge win.  Plus, they were moving the ball fine in between.  Will we need more in Foxboro?  Yes.  I know.  You know.  They know.  ALL aware.
  22. I am the type of person who WOULD spontaneously go to Foxboro this weekend, but just letting you know I passed and did not book flights.
  23. Assuming it doesn’t make me miss football, think we might be doing the Winter Park train this weekend.  Love trains.  Never really go ON them, but still love them.
  24. FSU got worked Saturday in Chapel Hill, but they are a team that should be on your list of possible bracket busters.
  25. I really need to figure out how to send that Anthony text to my email.  There has to be a solution.
  26. So, this digital thing is great.  No legal piece of paper.  But I found a negative side effect.  If someone tells me something interesting and I want to add it to my list before I forget, I appear DISINTERESTED because I pick up my phone mid conversation.  Need a workaround.
  27. I love burnt bacon SOOOO much.
  28. The UCONN women are just…a machine.  Amazing record.  That they already had.
  29. I might say this for the next week in this blog.  Do NOT watch Now You See Me 2.  Do NOT.
  30. Some of the items on my blog list are cryptic, random, and I have no idea what I was talking about.  You can tell I stayed in.  Lots of free time.
  31. The mac and cheese calzone from DP Dough was just as good as I optimally hoped.
  32. I will stay a 4Runner guy most likely, but DO acknowledge that proposed 2020 Ford Bronco looks NICE.
  33. Isn’t Split just a newer version of Kiss The Girls…just with multiple personalities?
  34. Tyreek Hill was the first player since Sayers to post a return, receiving, and rushing TD in one game.  Pretty crazy Dion Lewis counters that a couple weeks later to be the first person in a PLAYOFF game.
  35. You all roll out that Chargers logo a little too EARLY???  Yeah.
  36. Well, at least Ezekial Elliott has more time now for that questionaire…
  37. They will have more shots.  They are rookies.
  38. Now that I am a Floozies guy, I got to tell you I love the song Do Your Thing.  Awesome Peter Frampton rifts in background.
  39. The Bison Pastrami Hash at Prohibition I think is my new favorite meal.
  40. I wish I had the time or energy to get more into this, but Greg came OUT Sunday.  That is kind of like having beers with the Yeti.  Not sure if it exists. Love that guy.
  41. I need another flow chart.  So, Mike Tomlin is caught on tape by Antonio Brown talking about staying off social media this week before the Pats game, and Brown posts it on his FB page right after?  Not saying I hate that he did it.  But not the quiet start of the week they wanted.  Don’t poke the freaking bear.
  42. Guess he was pumped about being the highest paid WR soon.
  43. I feel like the Falcons made the conference championship game so quietly.
  44. Teams having QB indecision look at the four QB’s left…and realize they need to find one.  A good one.
  45. MMQB is my favorite Monday read.  Love Peter King.  Great stuff regularly.
  46. In case you care, Le’Veon Bell was the #211th ranked running back in high school in 2009.
  47. Chip Kelly knows x’s and o’s too well not to get a good gig.  Jags are looking at him for OC.
  48. This is insane.  $300 bet initially.  http://www.espn.com/chalk/story/_/id/18490085/bettors-300-ticket-green-bay-packers-worth-28000
  49. No, I don’t like when refs change the outcome, but that was a BAD hold on Harrison.  I don’t feel bad for them.
  50. Still coming down from the Steelers win, and can’t wait until Sunday…
  51. OK.  It has been fun, but need to go knock out another House of Cards.
  52. So, that is it for today.  Will I blog tomorrow?  That is a CLOWN question, bro.  Peace.
