Catch of the Day

One hook and one hook only…

I know, I know.  Second Cavs hook in about a week, but it is what it is.  It’s a story, and it also interests me.  Better than me writing this crap on Ray Rice, A-Rod, or Jerry Jones and Romo, right????  Anyway, the story is LeBron had some words with his PG, Kyrie Irving, and then Irving exited stage left right after.  Here is the deal.  I don’t need to know anymore of the story.  I have what I need in the stats of the loss last night.  Firstly, I am already on the record in saying DON’T STRESS on these guys.  We all freaked out years ago when Wade, James, and Bosh got together and they weren’t killing people at first.  You HAVE to develop chemistry in basketball no matter the level of talent.  Give them time.  Here are my thoughts:

-Irving is part of the Big Three in Cleveland, but he is still learning

-The Cavs still play in the Least as far as home court advantage-who cares how they start especially since the Western teams will just beat the hell out of each other?

-Kevin Love getting 10 shots in 38 minutes is a travesty-don’t care how bad he is shooting

-James getting 4 and 3 in assists and rebounds means he is not involved enough

-The Jazz are still at least two years away from being good, so getting beat now is no bueno

-Six total assists in a game for any team ever on any level means..not good things

-Finally, a PG on the floor with two future HOF’ers for FORTY FIVE minutes and getting ZERO assists in a loss…points the fingers back at that PG.  Irving only had 1 turnover, telling me he isn’t even TRYING to pass it to Love or James or other.

-Bottom line-Kyrie, cross half court at least FIFTY PERCENT of all plays and pass to LeBron.  He will make you look good.

-And coach, play more than 3 freaking bench guys-put Joe Harris in there for Pete’s sake…and stop pretending like you already have a playoff, tightened rotation

That is all for today.  Lindsey goes out of town, so expect some nice rants from me this weekend.  Peace.
