Catch of the Day.

One hook and one hook only…

PEYTON’S MASTERY

Just like stepping outside of the box and knowing I was living through one of the best player’s careers with Michael Jordan, I feel pretty similar when it comes to Peyton Manning.  I am unbiased.  I am not a fan, but not a hater either.  My respect for Manning can’t be higher though from a fan’s standpoint.  His barking orders and pointing at people is not a show.  Far from it.  It is beautiful, it is tough to make changes successfully over a long period of time, and it is the result of hours of study during each week.  We laugh about him yelling Omaha, but it truly is like laughing at Van Gogh doing anything funny while painting.  His personality is likable.  He has a ring, and shame the only thing haters can come at him with is that it is ONLY one.  Whatever.  It takes a team, and I think Dan Marino would have taken one before his retirement.  He has overtaken Brett Favre on the first of many more records.  His rating at age 38 is 118.2.  Think about it.  He is coming back from a serious health problem and his rating is 20 points HIGHER than his career rating.  He will throw for 4,000 yards again easily. He is doing this with no running game.  They average 3.6 yards per carry and are 29th in the league.  That is amazing.  Another thing that makes him so special is how many times he throws a ball ONLY to where his guy can get it.  Countless times.  Beautiful to watch.  It is tough going out on top of course, but it is sure nice to see him seemingly getting BETTER as he ages.  Enjoy it and take notes, folks.  We have future generations to tell about the marvel of getting to watch this guy play.  That is all for today.
