Catch Of The Day

And this guy almost stuck to swimming…

HOOK:

“Duncan.”

Today the NBA lost a player that a large percentage of the population would have as their starting power forward all time.  He owned odd years in the early 2000’s, and carried himself as classy as a player can.  He was boring and non talkative, but he won and then won some more and was a guy that everyone would prefer to play with.  We never cheer a hurricane causing damage, but in this case, we would like to say thanks to Hurricane Hugo for destroying the only pool in his village.  This forced him to basketball.  Look at this above average resume.

He never had all of the pieces in college to cut down the nets, but he did pretty well at the next level I think.  Class guy, who whether you are a Spurs fan or not, you like him and his fundamentally sound bank shot.  Happy trails, sir.

LINE:

“UFC.”

In case you thought the sport was going somewhere, $4 billion is a LOT of money to be involved in a transaction.

SINKER:

“Draymond.”

We don’t have all of the details about the assault charges with Draymond Green, but I am betting it wasn’t about a girl.  I have a feeling the beginning of the insult focused on being up 3-1 in the series.  Or about getting Durant because they can’t beat a full strength Cavs team on their own.  We know he is angry about their loss this year.  Hope this is an isolated incident.

THE RIVER:

-Jordan Spieth pulled out of the Olympics, and the list NOT going now is MUCH scarier than the list attending.

-Tonight is that Derby I may or may not watch.  More looking forward to the game tomorrow.

-Portugal beating France at their own crib and down their stud was unbelievable.  Great match.  Great ending.  Great story.

-Contest is closed from last night.  Answer was 338.  104-103 (DUKE-UK).  35-31 DALLAS-PITTSBURGH).  34-31. (ND-USC)

That’s it for today.  Will I blog tomorrow?  That is a CLOWN question, bro.  Peace.
