Catch Of The Day

You and free pizza brighten my day. Rock on.

Thoughts for the day.  No daily blog template or prizes until subscribers are back online.

  1. I missed a day, which means I am overloaded.  It is Thursday evening and I have football, Westworld, and other things I would like to do.  So, ONE sentence per hook and one sentence only.  I can chat with you all more over the weekend.
  2. No intern still, and I am #justmarkfiller so sorry for any grammatical errors.
  3. A day off from blogging you would think would be relaxing, but for me it is 10% relaxing and 90% pent up thoughts.
  4. The mustache is gone now, and I will post the final dad, cop, porn star pic this weekend.
  5. Oregon fired their coach, and if I am an employed coach, I am making a proactive call with THAT set table and great state around it.
  6. I think I like watching Doc Rivers meltdowns.
  7. UVA beat Ohio State, but the quality of looks in the first half bothered me, the fact that the early second half comeback wasn’t sustained, and that OSU committed a multitude of turnovers late and STILL was in the game was all troubling.
  8. Seriously, Tony Bennett from UVA and Jay Wright from Nova pretty much write the rules on how to look good when you are aging.
  9. Indiana is exactly what they have shown us- team that can lose to Fort Wayne and a team that can beat powerhouse UNC.
  10. I think the ACC-Big Ten Challenge is a nice bridge between the early tourneys and the anticipation of conference play…with exams in the middle.
  11. Houston board lit up Texas, but isn’t a small school always going to put down a big boy who took THEIR boy?
  12. Some things bring me down in my day, and some things like JR Smith hugging a player and allowing a dunk just lift me right back UP.
  13. So does free pizza, that just happened this afternoon, meaning my day was great.
  14. I just saw a commercial for Senekot, and THAT conversation never happens in the household of a man and woman.
  15. Gronk is out for the year, and so are my fantasy chances likely unless Mr. Bennett now becomes my tight end savior.
  16. Just to be on the record, I think Minnesota gives Dallas a game, but that they lose by 7-10 points.
  17. Shame Zimmer can’t be there to assist them too.
  18. Joe McKnight was shot today in a road rage incident, and him and Will Smith are just the famous people we hear about…New Orleans is NOT a town you want to be driving around in.
  19. Our delivered tree sucks this year, and we are sending it back and getting a new one…Christmas downer, but better than Lindsey looking at it longingly every night.
  20. She LOVES Christmas.
  21. Glad to see they figured out the MLB labor agreement, but even more glad they have decided not to give home field advantage to the league that wins the All Star Game.
  22. My New Year’s resolution is to go get a hockey hook every day regardless of whether the three wires I check are ignoring it or not.
  23. Broncos fans might not call Jacksonville a “trap game,” but their QB health right now doesn’t exactly help.
  24. If I am an NBA team, I am making that call to Isaiah Austin right NOW since he is cleared to play…quality player in college with NBA size.
  25. If Navy wins its conference championship, watch the fallout as it will stall the system for bowl bids until it plays Army.
  26. Another day waking up, and another day of Mr. Westbrook getting a triple double…amazing.
  27. I love the hooks I wrote down where I stopped writing mid idea or I can’t understand what the heck I was writing.
  28. Well, #twocatmark reports that the collar is off one cat, but that segregation still exists until we are sure the eye thing cleared up…ugghhh.
  29. If I am looking for a coach, I am kind of feeling shady about the cheater (Lane) and the mad hatter (Les) being my best available guys.
  30. I am still calling Les, and writing off Kiffin as an eternal floater.
  31. I really want to go see these break dancing Red Bull performers this weekend, but the schedule is booked…Denver Flea, OU-OSU and company party, and Steelers game…no windows.
  32. If you looked at the Hero scoreboard early, you said “Oooohhhh…Tiger is at -4,” and if you looked at it later, you said “Ohhhhhh, of course he ended up over par on an easy course.”
  33. LeBron is Sportsperson of the Year.
  34. I.
  35. Don’t.
  36. Care.
  37. Wade mentioned today before their showdown that they would have done everything the same even though they had to change their games, but I think they probably would have cut out the whole stage “Not 1, not 2…etc.” thing.
  38. The Nats will benefit by getting McCutchen, but don’t they really just need one more pitcher and their bats to act like their bats?
  39. I am talking to YOU, Bryce.
  40. The NFL will hire full time refs, and that is just great, and can’t wait for NEW problems with the system.
  41. Anyone want to guess what a full time ref is paid?
  42. That was rhetorical unless you want to guess along with me…I mean it is a little work during week possibly and then one actual work day a week.
  43. I am glad ESPN extended Adam Schefter’s contract because I like his style and content.
  44. Oh, I just deciphered what that hook was on my list…watch Jimmy Fallon’s recent “most likely to” NFL thing…hilarious.
  45. OK, just realized that was a repeat episode from September…but you should still watch it.
  46. IU fired its football coach, and since I am A) not from Indiana B) not familiar in my lifetime the last time IU football mattered, I don’t care.
  47. That’s it for today.  Going to go watch a Westworld and the NFL game.  Hope you enjoyed or are at least more informed.  Will I blog tomorrow?  That is a CLOWN question, bro.  Peace.
