- I heard the Pro Bowl was slightly competitive and people cared a little. I didn’t watch it. And, I am glad it was watchable? But, at that point in time, I felt that my 3 hours had much better odds of being more constructive and enjoyable doing pretty much anything else in life.
- Let’s write this quickly. I never finished MMQB today and need to get to one of my favorite weekly reads.
- When the calendar flipped over to 2017, I never thought I would see a story about Marshawn Lynch going to Houston, Scotland.

This is one of those articles where you hear about it, and stop reading it immediately. - WHY is the agent for Devonta Freeman saying NOW he needs to be paid like an elite running back. Ummm…there is thing called the Super Bowl about to happen. And, I just read a long article about how well Coleman and Freeman get along. Just…WAIT.
- Hey…Duke won a game they were SUPPOSED to win. Nice win tonight AT Notre Dame.
- Overall, I feel like the “Big Monday” college bball lineup this year has been kind of weak.
- I am saving my end to end watching of a bball game until tomorrow night. Last Musburger ESPN broadcast. UK-UGA. I am THERE.
- I didn’t watch one second of the Miss Universe pageant. The French chick was hot, but more surprised in reading the synopsis that Steve Harvey got another shot at hosting. That must be a hard job to lose.
- Of course it depends on WHICH rankings you read, but I was kind of blown away to see in the SI.COM rankings, Stanford had three of the top six recruits next year, and they were two OT’s and a QB.
- SI.COM is not Rivals when it comes to that, but at least it is more believable than anything with a Fox logo.
- The Sixers just got their TENTH win in a month? The Process.
- And the HEAT won again? What year is this?
- It seems weird to see “spring league” in talking anything close to NFL football, but at least we will see people like Greg Hardy, Vince Young, and Johnny Manziel do…stuff.
- How is that theme song for the Outsiders show NOT Peter Gabriel…oh, I guess he might be pretty freaking old to still be doing that. But, similar voice.

- I think ESPN should just tell us on the wire when Russell does NOT have a triple double.
- Tristan Thompson says he earned his money. You are right, Tristan. You did. As long as you look through the paradigm that every single middle level player IS overpaid, than you are right on about par.
- People are down on the 49ers for their John Lynch hire. Listen, I don’t care and am not a fan, but here is my take. Nothing ELSE was working. Get a fresh guy in there. Lynch was a smart football player. That equation is not a good for translation to the front office, but why…NOT?
- I agree with Derek Fisher. He got about the same amount of wins out of a much worse team. Agreed and then some.
- Pats and Cowboys are the league’s least liked teams. That…sounds about right if you listen to the media and other people. But, the percentage of Pats fans I like is MUCH higher than the percentage of Cowboys fans. Much.
- Speaking of not liked, Rex Ryan will join ESPN as an analyst. I think we might need to find a new term rather than “analyst” for him in particular, but I will watch and try to enjoy.
- Gonzaga MIGHT be a Final Four team, but know they are just the best choice for #1 right NOW. Feels like the 10th year in a row where I LOVE their lineup 1 through 10, but just hope to NOT get sucked into the bracket mistake of realizing WHO they play regularly is much lower level.
- The Cards will pay $2 million and lose a couple of draft picks for the hacker guy. That sounds like a lot to me, but am being told the punishment COULD have been much worse.
- Finally, it was a great day today because I ate free pizza. Free pizza always wins with the theme. So, the theme combines free pizza WITH Mr. Lynch in Scotland.
