Still stuck in a concert…

Thoughts for the day…

1. I caught in the background a little of the Purdue-Ohio State basketball earlier.  Jim Calhoun was a great coach but is a horrible announcer.  His Northeastern accent is kind of cool, but you are on television, so at least TRY and enunciate.
2. I am presently watching the Cal-UCLA game.  Bill Walton was a great player and is a sensational announcer.  Why do I say this?  As I have said before, his brilliance in announcing is that we all know he says idiotic things, but HE doesn’t think so, his rants bounce around logic like a pinball, and you literally feel the remnants of hundreds of Grateful Dead concerts in verbiage with sports on the screen.
3. “Are you old enough to remember…”
4. “That is the greatest left handed pass in January of an even year I have ever SEEN.”
5. No intern yet.  No editing this on my own.  You are on your own for grammar errors.
6. I literally will watch 50% more Duke bball games in the next month hoping Grayson Allen does something stupid, even if it is not tripping someone.
7. I get why Joe Mixon is going pro.  He needs to get to the place where others are thugs also.  And Perine went too.  Shame Baker probably has one more good year in him and he will have a very young RB situation.
8. Oh, and Joe Mixon plans on telling NFL teams “the truth.”  Or, you can just ask if they watched the tape.  I don’t care WHAT the dude or girl said.  You DECKED her.
9. There is too much parity and inexperience for a college team to go undefeated, which is why a Nova loss at a very good Butler team is not a big deal.  Some hard road games in that conference between Butler, Creighton, Xavier, and Nova.
10. I can’t even keep up with the good and bad of Russell Westbrook.  Hey, man.  You surely probably did NOT mean to hit the ref with the ball, but when you have your track record, why wouldn’t he initially think you meant it and just had a temporary mean moment.
11. Damn, Lonzo Ball is so good.  Just pulled up before the half with a 30 footer.
12. Honestly, as a Steeler fan, I actually wanted a limping Ryan Tannehill as opposed to a healthy backup.
13. I was made aware today of Wendy’s Twitter handle.  They ARE fun.  You should check it out.  Thanks, Greg.
14. Hey, UVA, this is supposed to be the EASY stretch of ACC games.  Geez.  Pitt?  Come ON.
15. Thanks, Chris Berman.  Whether you are in a reduced role or not, we are glad you will be sticking around to SOME capacity.
16. Bruce Arena’s past problem was believing in too many MLS players.  Relax.  The camp he summoned everyone to is during a time when the last few years it has been almost all MLS players also.
17. Hey, NY Giants.  I get it.  You are clever.  But, there is TOO much going on in the non sports headlines to label yourself NYPD.  Come on.
18. The Punch Snap Hammer is going to be SOOO much better with Kyle Korver.

20. More tomorrow.  Going to enjoy a little more Bill Walton.  Gotta go.  Will I blog tomorrow?  That is a CLOWN question.  Onward and upward.  Peace.
