Catch Of The Day

Roger Goodell does get sleep at night.

HOOK:

“College.”

Yesterday, Nova retained the #1 ranking in college basketball.  Nova is a top ten team, I agree, but what you see right now is a lack of options.  Every team in the top ten drops a game just when we are ready to anoint them as possibly the best.  Know this.  When brackets are released, know my eyes will DART to whoever they play in the first few rounds.  You give me one possible upset and I am taking it over Nova.

If you caught any of the UVA game last night, you saw a questionable Sweet 16 in the first half and a MONSTER in the second half.  NC State had a great recruiting class a couple years ago, so they have talent.  UVA just unleashed themselves on NC State in the second half and it was beautiful.  I am not entirely happy about how Tony is not giving some more bench players significant playing time in these mismatches so he knows how to tighten up his lineup in March, but maybe he already has that plan in his head.

For new readers, this is NOT a full UVA homer blog, but they played last night, we are in February, so cut me a break.

LINE:

“Goodell.”

Yes, he has a stressful job.  A.P., Ray Rice, etc.  Our hearts cry for the hard days Roger Goodell has and we pray that he gets some sleep at night.  He does, folks.

2014 Salary: 3.5 million

2014 Bonus: $26.5 million

2014 Pension:  3.7 million

2014 Other Reported Compensation:  $273,000

He will be just fine.

SINKER:

“Manny.”

There are too many jokes and avenues to approach Manny Pacquiao’s comments, so I will leave it for the people with writing as their full time job.  But, Manny DOES keep upping the ante on stupidity by calling gays worse than animals.  Oh, Manny.  Might have gotten a couple more Mayweather jabs than you needed (67 to be exact).

THE RIVER:

“Harbaugh.”

Just in case you thought Harbaugh was taking a break, he is not.  Dylan McCaffrey, the brother of Stanford stud, Christian, (and son of Ed) has announced he will attend Michigan in 2017.  McCaffrey is the #25 prospect overall and the #1 pocket passer.  Michigan is officially back in case you live in a bubble.

That’s it for today.  Will I blog tomorrow?  That is a CLOWN question, bro.  Peace.
