Catch of the Day.

No time for organized hook, line, and sinker.  Just going to clear the sheet for today as I have too much going on.

-I had notes on the missed TO, the James offensive foul, and non calls down the stretch of the Bulls/ Cavs game, but I will limit myself to two points.  First, it is GREAT to have the officials review keys calls down the stretch and to get those calls CORRECT.  But, it creates another problem.  When the officials are reviewing a call, I think all players HAVE to stay on the court…maybe in a specific area of the court with no contact with their coach.  One way or the other, we can’t give teams without timeouts a timeout for a review.  Change the rule.  Second, the Cavs and James MIGHT give the Bulls everything they can handle.  They might even advance and beat the Wizards or Hawks.  Then, they will lose in the Finals best case to any one of those teams.  Here is the thing though.  This media coverage about Blatt and James and the “called” play is a problem for future years that needs to be addressed.  They can fake it for THIS postseason, but James has to listen to the guy at some point.  Did he back it up by making the shot?  Yes, but it doesn’t mean it isn’t a problem.

-You simply don’t want to play the Griz in the playoffs.  It is that simple.  Sure, a shooting slump is very badly timed by Curry, but it also doesn’t mean the Griz aren’t affecting the quality of those attempts.  If the Griz lose the next game, they will still go back to Golden State in a heck of a series.  If the Griz WIN the next game…wow.

-.300, 11, and 28.  Bryce, you just keep on trucking, alright, buddy?

-I hate this day and age with recorded events, as I still end up texting someone after a crazy play and then they tell me they are still 10 minutes behind.  Whoops, and sorry, Scott.

-I am not entrenched with one type of pasta for my weekly pasta salad I make, but I admit to getting Fusilli this week just because of Seinfeld.  With this link, you get bonus Assman video also.  You are welcome.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p5ncsjMVzcc

-Game of Thrones was a good one last night.  I still get the feeling we have an episode coming shortly with lots of deaths all at once, but making you wait and building up is the brilliance of the show.  It is now starting to deviate as of this season from the book.  That means nothing to me, except to notice now no one can guarantee what WILL happen now.

-I turned on the Hopkins-UVA lacrosse match yesterday and don’t remember UVA EVER getting smoked like that in a game.  To add insult to injury, they pulled the hidden ball trick on us.  http://www.sbnation.com/lookit/2015/5/10/8582105/johns-hopkins-lacrosse-team-freezes-goalie-with-hidden-ball-trick

-Winning the Players is just a step below winning a Major.  Fowler taking it yesterday in sudden death means he is a legit contender as we all suspected for he remaining three Majors.  LOVE that guy.

-Ovechkin guaranteed a Game 7 win against the Rangers.  Not sure I would want to deal with the toughness of hockey players in general, let alone after pissing them off with guaranteed wins through the media.

-Nadal is out of the top 5 for first time in 10 years.  Talk to me about this in a month after the French Open, people.

-Win-win.  If the Bulls and Jimmy Butler keep winning, he can start thinking about a title.  If the Bulls and Jimmy Butler lose, then he can start sifting through the max contracts that will be by his locker shortly.

-Interesting that they found a clause in the Golson thing where he can’t go to Texas or possibly anyone else on schedule??  Something like that.

-Speaking of Texas, Shaka Smart basically will win the Coach of the Year just by getting the UT kids to play AT their ability.

-Finally, and this is my big thing of the day, Rasheed Sulaimon will play his last year at Maryland.  In case you forgot, he is the kid that Duke kicked off the team during last season.  I remember him coming to Duke and expectations were high.  Here is the deal.  He graduates in August so he can play immediately.  Maryland had a squad that grew up last year, a coach who knows the ropes, a star in Trimble who is coming back, a GTech transfer no one talks about, and now THIS.  This team was top 5 before getting him.  They are now a solid option for the title.  Three of the top 5 teams next season are all located close in Maryland, UVA, and UNC.  Iowa State not so much.

-Ok.  That is it.  Hope you enjoyed or are at least more informed.  Will I blog tomorrow?  That is a CLOWN question, bro.  peace.
