- Greetings and salutations, people. Thanks for coming aboard (the boat). I didn’t know Brew Fest was a night thing, so festivities haven’t begun. We have people coming over we suddenly decided this afternoon, so I will get what I need out quickly, and then go clean up the house a little.
- FIRST. IMPORTANT. I have a guest blog submission from Ben. Please check it out under the guest blog dropdown (yes, those things actually WORK but I just don’t populate them regularly). I will post it Monday on the main page. Great stuff about the Cleveland NBA championship and other things Ohio.
- They are playing right now so it might change, but interesting that the only team yet to win after the All Star Game is the Giants.
- Golf pro-ams/ celebrity tourneys are fun. I was about to write something about JT, and there he is on the TV. Fun tourney with loud beach goers as the golf fans.
- What I was going to say about JT is that I am officially not addicted to his new song anymore in the way that I don’t play it on my phone, but I still turn it up and jam out when it comes on the radio.
- Yesterday’s prize is now closed. No guess from Bryan. His tab with me remains $40.
- When the media is reporting on the basketball team in Rio, can we STOP talking about the Warriors and new Warriors on the team? Can we make it more about country and less about how Durant plays with Green and Thompson? Come on, guys.
- Great that we won by 37 today (remember when Argentina was good?), but I am more into the quarterfinals of The Basketball Tournament. LOVE that thing. $2 million winner take all to one team. I hear names galore where I say “THAT is where that guy ended up…”
- Kind of sad JWill and Bibby’s team is out though already. I didn’t even get to see White Chocolate play one game.
- Not sure what the rules of engagement are or what I should be doing, but when I take a photo now it is involuntary to just think of something witty and post to Instagram.
- It is time for me to get tattoo on my right shoulder. I need to get my body symmetrical again.
- I still think this whole Trump thing is a dream. Has to be. I find it hard to even do my due diligence and watch his election speeches NOW let alone thinking about the pain of if he gets in office.
- Pretty solid article on Usain Bolt in SI last edition. I actually DID think he was doing a lightning bolt pose when he won races. Nope. I learned something.
- Hey, ESPN, when I click on an article on your website and then hit back, it drives me NUTS how it goes to the top of the page again.
- Cyborg is calling out Rousey, and I guess with Holm jacking stuff up by losing, that is the one way Rousey kind of gets famous again.
- Good timing for Gators football player and part time bouncer in stopping a back alley rape. Nice to see college football players NOT doing bad stuff.
- 6 days until Bourne.
- Seriously, I had NO idea that Cheba Hut was more than a sandwich shop. Did our nightcap there last night. $3 Carbombs. And they sell THESE beauties.
- I am getting the feeling this Ezekiel Elliott thing is bogus and will go away here shortly. At least, from what I read…
- Can’t go wrong with this menu.
- If they change eating contest from hot dogs to deviled eggs, I can beat anyone. Bring it, Chestnut. I would destroy you.

- If you go downtown to Southern Hospitality (actually JT owned), go DOWNSTAIRS. It is cool down there.
- We got burritos this morning from the Denver Bicycle Cafe. I hate everything that is a cafe for the most part. I tried to order a Coke Zero. No sodas. I tried to order an ice tea, and after hearing the list of types of ice teas they had, I said “pour me whatever is closest to NORMAL.” Everyone sitting around on their computer eating a pastry…ugghhh.
- Pretty cool that Griffey is propping Ortiz for the HOF as he goes through the process himself. Odd, but cool.
- I may or may not be spending weekend nights and falling asleep on couch in my primers for Bourne next week.
- Great that the Celtics kept Gerald Green, but think the contract said “start packing, man.”
- No prizes today, Rudy. And none for anyone else, but I will throw something out tomorrow most likely.
- I think my phone is malfunctioning, because I got a text where Ralph wanted to do something on the weekend. That would just be crazy, so I will head to Verizon to look at new phones or get it fixed.
- I love my car.
- The Cirque du Soleil was cool last night. Some pics.
