Velociblogger.

Read it, don’t read it, I don’t care…just needed to get some things off my chest.

In no particular order of chronology or importance…

Not on the clock but things to do.  Not an airplane rant.  Afternoon rant.  Semi-speed version.  Let’s turn and burn.

  1. Greetings and salutations, people.  Thanks for coming aboard (the boat).  I would like to have a productive Sunday after the Steelers game, so this will be a little shorter style than typical Sundays.  I am writing hooks during commercials of my game.
  2. JJ.  No pops.  House stuff and prep for work to do.  #productive
  3. If Derrick Henry wasn’t on the main Heisman list before yesterday, he is now. We got the Stanford kid McCaffrey, the Baylor WR Coleman, Fournette, Henry, Elliott, Clemon’s Watson, with the second tier team headed up by Boykin and Baker Mayfield.  Plus, don’t we NEED Baker Mayfield IN New York?
  4. You might think Bama is the Evil Empire, but they outplayed a VERY good LSU team on many, many levels.
  5. LSU is still in the CFP hunt, as losing AT Bama is really not the end of the world when you play their schedule.
  6. Lindsey and I watched Neighbors last night in a quiet night at home, and I forgot how funny that movie was as I had only one take on it.   If you missed it, take two hours of your night sometime.
  7. The announcer during the Steelers game just called the Carr-Cooper TD catch the ADDC connection. That is pretty clever and catchy.  Maybe it is already mainstream.  I personally hadn’t heard that one.
  8. I guess we could have foreseen the Packers losing at Denver and at Carolina, but presently they are in line to get pummeled at both locations, which I DIDN’T expect.  We knew their defense was suspect, but who knew that their offense would just start sputtering?
  9. I smelled an upset coming in the Colts-Broncos game later today, but then I came to my senses and changed the pick back to Denver.
  10. Bradley fought Rios last night, and outside of Floyd Mayweather fights, I have NEVER cared this little about all weight classes of boxing as I do now…and I am kind of a boxing JUNKIE.
  11. Ohio State has QB issues, and now their most highly ranked opponent left just got upset by Nebraska. With that game being at the Shoe, I guess we hope Michigan runs the table up to THEIR game to have some excitement late in the Big Ten season.
  12. If Meyer starts Barrett next week, it creates friction on a lot of levels. Not sure in the huddle how much leadership is resonating from a captain who now had a questionable event with his woman and now apparently drives around on a party Halloween weekend.
  13. Clemson won, we are barely in November, and I guess we have our first CFP team, right? Because the ACC sucks.
  14. Initially I thought the dental student kicked that winning UF field goal, but found out it was the original guy.   Dammit.  I had some material ready.
  15. We watched Inside Out Friday night. The movie was ok, surprisingly sad right up to the ending, but the IDEA of the movie is absolutely brilliant.  You should at least watch it for that reason.  Characters playing each of the emotions of a person.  It is funny just with one person, but wait until you meet the OTHER people’s emoticons.
  16. I watched Jurassic World Friday also. I should have caught it in 3D, as besides effects, it was just another Jurassic/ dinosaur movie.  Watchable, decent, but just like the others.
  17. What the HELL was that guy from Law and Order Criminal Intent thinking that he could use Velociraptors in battle?  That is just loopy, movie or not.
  18. Draftkings is so addicting, and happy to report I am presently up $18 before halftime of the early games.  Yes, Ed Norton, I picked and believe in my sleeper picks.
  19. The Steelers used to be the most boring offense to watch EVER, and now have literally done a 180 and are like a video game a lot of times.
  20. I ate at Shells and Sauce in Cap Hill because we had a coupon, and I plan on going back soon for the OTHER two brunch plates I didn’t get but know I missed out on in some way. I recommend starting with George’s omelet.
  21. When I said OSU, TCU, Baylor, and OU would beat the hell out of each other in the final games all against each other, I didn’t foresee one actually and literally beating the hell out of another one, as OSU clearly did against TCU.
  22. If you look at past years, the majority of years have a champion or almost champion NO one saw coming.  Oklahoma State might just be that team.  Of course, I am saying this before their gauntlet of a closing part of the schedule.
  23. If Kobe wants a farewell tour, fine. If Kobe might play another year, fine.  If Kobe might play for another team, fine.  But, just choose a possible option and STOP talking, bro.  I.  Don’t.  Care.
  24. So sad of story about the Miss St. kid and his dad dying on the way back to the local high school game in MS.
  25. The bad news is this was an expensive weekend. The GOOD news is that I have bought my last wedding ring/band/stone ever in my life.  Now, it is just birthdays/ anniversaries/ just because jewelry.
  26. AFTER making this expensive wedding band purchase, I felt like an outlet/ release, which usually involves me buying myself a watch, which I did.
  27. Well, I didn’t buy it at the mall, and glad I didn’t. Got it MUCH cheaper online, which works since I got the hands on part of the purchase at the store.  watch-Capture
  28. The objective was to NOT buy a watch with blue in it finally.  That will be the NEXT watch purchase.
  29. I know they have had rough times because of their coach, but I feel like Minnesota has been a not good, not bad, but “dangerous” team for like the entire 2000’s.
  30. As I sit on my couch, I realize how lucky I have been this year with the Steelers viewing logistics. I have had to leave my house TWICE all season when they weren’t on main TV.
  31. That Temple-Memphis game would have been fantastic in a couple weeks had Temple won against ND and Memphis had beaten Navy.   NAVY????  The Memphis-CFP door is now not just shut, but SLAMMED WITH CHUCKLES.  They got smoked at THEIR crib by Navy.  Wow.
  32. Donald Trump was the host on SNL last night. Guy is pretty funny, and I guess why WOULDN’T he host a comedy show during his run at President?
  33. So, this musical artist chick, Sia, never shows her face? That is a little weird.  Not asking why.  Don’t care.  Kind of creepy.
  34. Still plan on doing an NBA snapshot of the season thus far. Not today.
  35. Still plan on doing a full breakdown of the college basketball preseason rankings. Not today.
  36. Enough of this during commercial blog writing.  Back to it.  Enjoy your Sunday.
  37. That’s it for today. A shorty one as I have a LOT to do today.  Hope you enjoyed or at least are more informed.  Will I blog tomorrow?  That is a CLOWN question, bro.
