Catch of the Day.

HOOK:

“Recap.”

Well, it is all over for another year at Augusta.  If we didn’t think the new guys have arrived, they did and then some.  Here is the deal.  It felt dominant and it was dominant relatively.  But, the scores the LOSING players were posting would have won it in pretty much any other year.  The quality of play overall was pretty amazing, and the youth of the leaderboard was even more intriguing with Tiger and Phil keeping everyone on their toes.  I am still amazed how Spieth squashed every minor challenge all weekend, and still amazed Tiger was even ON the leaderboard while missing most fairways.  Great tournament, one of my favorite things to watch, and we look forward to next year.

LINE:

“NBA.”

The bottom couple teams in the NBA West are sick for their possible seeds.  The Rockets have the talent to win it all and they are lined up as a six seed presently.  The Mavs have won it and CAN again with a little luck thrown their way.  Then, at possibly 8, you either get the most exciting young player in the league right now in Anthony Davis, or an injury filled team with a pissed off guy who will not go quietly into the night in Russell Westbrook (54 last night).  Wow.

-The Spurs just continue to do Spurs like stuff, have won 11 in a row now, and we are in an odd numbered year, which used to be funnier until they won it last time in an even numbered year.

-I am hearing rumors Justin Anderson might go pro, and that is a mistake both in his draft status he can get better with another full year, and for my selfish UVA rooting next year.

SINKER:

“Tie.”

-Funny how the previously most hated guy in baseball is confused about the hatred for the PRESENT most hated player in baseball.  Both you and A-Rod be quiet, Barry.

-ESPN parted ways with Lou Holtz today, and I am still amazed he lasted that long with a job AND will miss making fun of him and is goofy analysis.

MISCELLANEOUS:

-Google “jj watt boxjump reebok.”

-Cool story about Bucs William Gholston, who got free gas and a ride in high school, and this weekend stopped by that same gas station and gave the guy $100 and said thank you.

-NHL brackets have been released, and my picks are easy.  I like the winner of the FIRST round series between the Pens and Rangers to lose to the winner of the FIRST round series between the Predators and Blackhawks.  The brackets made it easy on my picks.

-MLB Standings glance.  I can’t believe the Phils are 3-3, expect the Tigers to start out strong and maybe get hit with injuries to their older guys down the road, but did NOT expect the Royals and especially the Braves to come out so strong.

That’s it.  Hope you either enjoyed or are at least more informed.  Peace.
