Catch of the Day.

HOOK:

“Openings.”

It is Black Monday and many coaches/ GM’s got canned today.  Some are more deserved than others.  On the other side of the coin, you have the guys who want to revisit getting a head coaching gig, and the recycling of the present fired guys.  This leads to looking at the available jobs and seeing what is the best fit.  If I am someone wanting to go to a traditional, loved football town, I look at Chicago and New York.  Then, I look at their lineups, their uncertainty at QB, and look elsewhere unless I REALLY want to go to one of those towns.  I look at the 49ers.  I am not sure what went down totally, or who the problem childs are, but the talent is there.  I could get a fast uprising team from that town.  They are not that far from the playoffs.  Then, I look at the division, , the lack of legit WR’s, and the off the field problems and I keep looking.  I come to Atlanta.  I got a 29 year old QB who is smart and has two ridiculous targets in their prime in Roddy White and Julio Jones.  I have an offense that was 8th in the league with no real rushing attack outside of a #1 guy averaging 3.7 YPC.  I take this job.  Draft heavy on defense and snag a decent RB and I am close to a playoff run.

LINE:

“19”

We are still awaiting word on the Le’Veon Bell injury and his status this weekend.  It doesn’t look overwhelmingly serious, but definitely want him in lineup.  What is 19?  19 is the total number of carries ALL year by any other RB currently on the Steelers’ roster.  Bell needs to play for the Steelers to make ANY type of playoff run.

SINKER:

“Perception.”

There is a tie between three players on the sinker of the day.

-Jameis Winston says that the public perception of him is wrong.  Listen, man.  You steal, yell vulgarities at the moon, and maybe raped someone.  You build your OWN perception back because we just make an opinion based on a pattern of events.

-Johnny Football denies having a party Friday.  I don’t care what percentage of what is true.  Dude, it is one thing for healthy players to party.  Injured players partying is worse.  You are hurt, your team is not in the playoffs, and it is the LAST game of the year.  Can’t you sit on a couch and just play Halo for a couple hours?

-Mike Wallace pouted about Charles Clay, a TEAMMATE, catching a TD pass instead of him and might or might not have refused to go back in the game.  Dude.  Your history isn’t angelic.  Stop complaining, be the better person, don’t quit on your team, and grab a nice comfortable couch seat to watch the Steelers game Saturday, as they ARE in the playoffs.

That is all for today.  Peace.
