1) A-Rod was hit by a pitch from Ryan Dempster last night. He “got back” at him by slamming a home run off Dempster later in the game, but here is actually the deal. Dempster pretty much was a poster child for how the entire world feels about A-Rod these days. He just happened to be in a legal situation with a hard ball in his hand. We all envy Dempster.
2) Ex- sprinter Oscar Pistorius was indicted for murder today. There are obviously THOUSANDS of bad jokes I could go to on this one, but let’s just use this one. It looks like a serious situation, and he doesn’t have a leg to stand on in this case.
3) Hey. I could have gone darker. I kept it light.
4) When Tom Brady says the Pats are trying to be “smart” about his recent injury, doesn’t he mean “smug?” Knowing Belichick, we are lucky to even know what body part is injured on his beloved QB.
5) I have an addictive personality. I have a Twitter account. YOU do the math of what I am most recently a junkie for. I don’t even have it on my freaking phone-that might change soon though when I get to 100 followers (present total is 59).
6) I would like to see a Trivia Pursuit game between Ryan Braun and Ryan Lochte.
7) Losing TE Dustin Keller might not seem the end all, be all for the Dolphins. I think it hurts a LOT. In an offense that has been trying to find an identity over the last couple years, having that big safety net out of commission does NOT help them at all.
8) When someone endorses me on Linked In, is the etiquette to endorse them back?

10) Golfer Dustin Johnson and Paulina Gretzky are now engaged. I am ballparking this here, but I assume if you are nicknamed “The Great One,” it is pretty much a given that the young gent asks you if you mind him taking your daughter’s hand.
11) Will someone pick up Jason Collins please? Maybe he is not ultra talented, but he is tall and needed in the league after his brave announcement.
12) Jimmy Rollins says it is the players’ fault that Charlie Manuel lost his job. If we are talking about a mass example of underachieving anything close to what you are getting paid, then I would say you are on the right track.
13) I do check ins online. I have not seen one Steelers preseason “game.”
14) Blaine Gabbert won the competition for the honor of being the Jags QB this season. That team has lots of problems. That is like saying you own the fastest Dodge Neon. Maybe Neon with sporty stripes down the side and a spoiler.
15) The NFL might extend Von Miller’s sentence to six games as opposed to four. Why do I just have the feeling that this kid deserves whatever punishment he gets?
16) Quietly, the Cuse snagged the #51 overall player for their 2014 recruiting class. This boosts them to #4 overall. There is NO rebuilding when it comes to Jim Boeheim.
17) Speaking of no reloading, Kansas will be in one of the games to start the season. KU-Duke. UK-Michigan State. If THOSE don’t get me salivating enough, UVA plays VCU on that same day also. Lindsey. I will be on the couch Nov 11th if you need me.
