Under Blog and Key.

Read it, don’t read it, I don’t care…just needed to get some things off my chest.

In no particular order of chronology or importance…

On the clock.  Not an airplane rant.  Evening rant.  Speed version.  Let’s turn and burn.

  1. Greetings and salutations, people.  Thanks for coming aboard (the boat).  Why the speed version?  No time at work today because there was no lunch for me today.  And Lindsey is out tonight, meaning I SHOULD have the time.  But more work first, the Stanley Cup Finals, and a re-watch of the most recent Game of Thrones are my special sans fiancee night, so let’s move.
  2. I pour my heart in this thing and write often, so thanks for the readership. Whoever someone is telling, they are reading it.  MUCH appreciate it, y’all.
  3. Let’s start with the obvious. Yeah, yeah, yeah.  I know, I know.  My faith in Nadal went a little too far.  I thought he had ONE more in him, but Djokovic not only continued his INCREDIBLE year and the calendar slam, but also did not allow a SET to guy who that just doesn’t happen to on that surface.   I was wrong, and I NEVER would have thought it would be decisive like it was. Oh well.  I go public every day with my opinions, so I am BOUND to be wrong here and there.  When the most dangerous forehand in the last 10 years gets THREE winners in a match, it is no bueno.  No Djoks, nothing Nadal from me further.
  4. Oh yeah-speed version.  Whoops.  One sentence and one sentence only hooks.
  5. At least the Blackhawks are still in it per my preseason prediction (and down 1-0 presently in Game 1, but whatever…long series, and this is AT Tampa Bay).
  6. Every time I think about either to crack on or complement Josh Hamilton, I totally realize he is already 34 years old and lost a good amount of his younger playing years face down on a road in Arizona.
  7. In that long Game of Thrones scene Sunday, apparently they used 80% of the special effects or some other type of the SEASON’S budget to make something SOOOOOOOO badass.
  8. Lindsey and I have agreed to the wedding song being She’s Got a Way by Billy Joel, but there are still arguments occurring because I want to PLAY it at the wedding…not dance or whatever.
  9. Maybe I will work out a deal that it is played at the Destination wedding, but then I play it at the local reception.
  10. We actually haven’t figured out a wedding plan yet, so I guess it is funny I am concerned with any song choice or presentation of that song.
  11. I will try and have the question of the day/ week return tomorrow or Friday-might do it Friday to give everyone the weekend to let it marinate.
  12. If “reading mock drafts” is considered a hobby, consider that a placeholder on my next…hobby listing action item.
  13. LeSean, I am still a little confused how Chip Kelly was a racist in anything I heard about.
  14. Why do I suddenly like Pastrami more than anything else, and it was happening MONTHS before the re-air of the Pastrami episode of Seinfeld today that just reminded me I am eating more of it oddly?
  15. I have said it a MILLION times, but hockey announcers are the BEST in the business, and I become entranced when I watch a game.
  16. Maybe that is what Jackson is doing when he stares at the screen during hockey games only.
  17. Always read movie reviews from Deadspin for the most upfront opinion, or maybe the review guy just seems to have my paradigm-Entourage. http://theconcourse.deadspin.com/the-entourage-movie-is-the-hate-watching-event-of-the-s-1708643396
  18. Speaking of Deadspin, here is the riveting summary of that very special Game of Thrones episode this past Sunday (obviously, spoiler alert, people). http://io9.com/what-the-game-of-thrones-tv-show-is-doing-so-much-bette-1708510125
  19. Or, if you loved reading that one so much, check out a different take on it. http://morningafter.gawker.com/a-closer-look-at-the-insane-battle-from-last-nights-gam-1708160269
  20. Last night, Guerrero made me aware of a stat I wouldn’t have guessed and probably neither would you have-only SEVENTH time in last 25 years when a team down 3 at the final at bat with two outs won on a grand slam.
  21. Ok-while writing it, it doesn’t seem that crazy of a stat.
  22. I still can’t stop watching Enemy of the State when it is on TV and you should probably watch it for first time (sad if so) in next 5 years before EVERYTHING in the movie seems run of the mill.
  23. I ran further tonight in my new daily jog that I loathe, and I assume it was because it was raining and because I worship water.
  24. I still have not had the Sirloin Burger from McDonald’s…first thing on my list Saturday morning (WAIT to stop the special, McDonald’s).
  25. Sorry that I don’t talk about the whole Bruce Jenner thing that much, as I really don’t care that much.
  26. When Andy Dalton and Kaepernick got their “big cash,” people understood that the deals were smoke and mirrors and gave the team outs: with this BS Newton/ Panthers deal, it is actually a monetary DEAL and investment for team whether they want him or not and stupid if you ask me.
  27. Like the semicolon approach to get that hook out in one sentence?
  28. A. P. needs to get into acting after his football career after saying how much he loves being back in the Vikings building.
  29. One way or the other, him playing and Bridgewater advancing at ALL gives them playoff chances.
  30. I wonder if Joakim Noah will lose any fire and sometimes stupidity this season by having such a nice guy as a coach every day in practice.
  31. So, Welker says returning to the Pats would be cool, but odds are his phone isn’t exactly ringing off the hook.
  32. If it is, he thinks it is another concussion test.
  33. Worthless story or not, kind of classy for Steve Williams, hateful on every other topic about his old player, to say emphatically that Tiger has never even thought about using PED’s.
  34. Dwyane Wade is joining the network as an analyst to make sure him AND LeBron both still have their footprints on the NBA Finals.
  35. The Heat will apparently target Kevin Durant in 2016, and he must like waters, rivers, reservoirs, straits, beaches, and oceans as much as I do to go there.
  36. He is a DC guy, people-unless Baltimore gets an expansion team, he is going to the Wizards IF he goes anywhere.
  37. Can we put the old McDonald assault stories on the bottom of the wire until after the NBA and NHL Finals?
  38. If McDonald wants to hit anyone, let him have a shot at Antonio Cromartie, who is trying to sell the world that Richard Sherman is not an elite CB and the “product of the system????”
  39. You must really hate baseball if somehow you missed the story on Joey Gallo’s debut-almost hit for the cycle with an upper decker and two run single.
  40. The NFL jersey story is mainly about Mariota beating out Winston the first month (and Brady) in jersey sales, but more important is the hidden fact that Manziel is NOT in the top 25.
  41. Wait-there is ANOTHER Mission Impossible coming out.
  42. Wait-the Tampa arena is busting out old DOKKEN??????
  43. That is utterly amazing, and if I wasn’t so in the Blackhawks corner, I might be swayed.
  44. LOVED Dokken, and kind of still do.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nQb1t_Yw0S8
  45. YES.  The album in the main theme is a DIFFERENT album.
  46. The FBI is looking into the 2018 and 2022 FIFA WC awards, and maybe all of this research will FINALLY tell us all how Qatar got a sniff.
  47. That DOES look pretty cool though, depending on which draft I picked up on Google.
  48. If you don’t want to read about how the FIFA thing is like The Godfather, then something is wrong with you. http://screamer.deadspin.com/how-much-is-fifa-like-the-godfather-espn-and-abc-count-1708524507
  49. American Pharaoh gets the #5 post, is listed as a 3-5 favorite, and I am sticking with my theory that although he is a great horse, a more rested horse will beat him down the stretch.
  50. After cracking on my Flyers a lot over a bad spell, and reading about why Hextall hired the first college coach in 28 years straight to the NHL (something like that-might be more, as Herb Brooks actually coached before in the NHL I think before he went to college and then got called up), I think I am now happy with the process.
  51. The only thing NOT perfect about the Gronkowskis being on Family Feud is WHO will be on the other side (someone athletic, or do we do something more fun and make it the Osbournes or someone like that?).
  52. The first internet only broadcast in the NFL is the Jags and Bills?????
  53. The women’s softball championship may or may not have been decided last night.
  54. The women’s World Cup will be won by the US, Germany, Japan, or France-I am living on the edge.
  55. Kind of like picking my Final Four for the women’s side in college bball.
  56. That is it. Going to watch the second period of the Stanley Cup Finals with no laptop.  Hope you enjoyed or are at least more informed.  Will I blog tomorrow?  That is a CLOWN question, bro.
