Thoughts on yesterday…

Hope this doesn’t jinx it, but that is why I write a public blog…to be OUT there on the record.

It happens every year, people.  One crazy day, and one mellow day.  This year, the crazy day was the first day.  Yesterday, pretty much no surprises, and you are an idiot if you didn’t see Dayton winning a game in their crib.  Thoughts…

-Not betting on Michigan State to win one game with a week of prep no matter what quality of team they have is just not smart.

-KU is always good for one round, and now they get the team that they have refused to play year after year.  GREAT sarcasm, committee, and it worked out.

-For you bettors today, I love Georgia State on the money line, Arizona minus 8 and Notre Dame minus 5.  I also think the Kentucky line is a little light.

-Oregon is going to give Wisconsin fits and is hot at the right time…but they won’t win of course.

-UNI looks dope, and after Nova barely gets by NC State, they will go down to my Elite 8 directional school.

-The hip pick never wins it seems, and I was a sucker on the Buffalo bandwagon along with a lot of people.

-I am telling you this.  Should Maryland win another game, they will irritate the hell out of UK.

-It may or may not be true I had a mild heart attack when it was 62-60 UVA against Belmont.  Once again for the millionth time, watch the opponent’s score against UVA and not UVA’s score.  If on pace for 60 points, trouble is in the air.

-UC Irvine was entertaining to watch simply to see the next coming of Manute Bol.

-Duke will quietly win and win and win…until they hit Arizona in the final.

-I would have taken Davidson to win, I would have taken Davidson and the points, and I was blindsided by the debacle that was the Iowa game.

-Dayton.  Home court.  Providence.  Overrated beyond a doubt.

-Every time you watch Frank Kaminsky play, picture the seven footer trolling around campus on a moped.  Funny visual.

-St. John’s is the most bipolar team I have seen in quite a while, and Fisher having a week to prepare doesn’t help.

-Gonzaga has quite a clear path before getting beat by Duke.  They will destroy Iowa.

-Vegas took advantage of Thursday by capitalizing on everyone betting on underdogs on day 2.

-I have a lot more to say as always, but games have started.  Gotta go.  Hope you enjoyed or are at least more informed.  Good luck on your bracket.  For me, Elite 8 is intact, and I have 14 of 16 sweet sixteen teams alive.  May the force be with you.  And, once again, I leave you with THIS.
