The Seven.

BYU +6.5 at Michigan:  Listen, we aren’t sold on Michigan as these are not Harbaugh’s players yet.  All BYU does is win on end of game magic or lose by 1 on the road to one of the better teams in the nation.  I will take the 6.5 in a heartbeat.

Texas +3.5 at home vs. Oklahoma State:  Have you LOOKED at who Oklahoma State has beaten?  Not exactly worthy teams.  Charlie Strong will at SOME point make this Texas team look half way decent.  They got killed in the first game by a Notre Dame team that last week beat a solid Georgia Tech team.  Texas might lose by a field goal, but that spread will then be good.

Tennessee -1.5 at Florida:  Tennessee lost to a VERY good Oklahoma team that might make the playoff.  Florida is not Florida.  This might be close, but I like Tennessee showing some of their true colors and beating a rival while they are down.

Penn State -15 at home vs. San Diego State:  I have all season that Penn State is dangerous.  Throw in a good win last week and being at home, and they make more strides looking like they are going the right direction.

Auburn -2.5 at home vs. Mississippi State:  OK, people.  Relax.  It doesn’t matter who starts at QB, the team is solid head to toe.  So, they have started slow.  That is not the end game.  They win by 10.

UCLA -3 at Arizona:  UCLA, with or without Myles Jack, is very, very good.  And even the close win last week against BYU I think told us more about BYU than it did about UCLA.

Oregon -10.5 at home vs. Utah:  Utah is solid.  I get it.  Oregon KNOWS that with the strength of their conference this year, if they run the table, they probably will make the playoff.  They win by 14.

RANDOM:

-Sam Bradford is very, very glad that DeMarco Murray is playing this week.

-First lie comes out today.  This Kane case might come across at the end as shady, but I am feeling that there will be enough holes in the story to set him free.

-I had the burger at lunch from My Brother’s Place.  It gets ranked.  It comes in #4 in the Denver area behind Humboldt, Highland Tap, and Park & CO.  If we are talking Colorado or the Earth overall, Justice Snow’s in Aspen blows everyone away.

-At least Anthony Bennett can be the worst #1 NBA draft pick in his own country now.

-I feel like Paul Pierce will be telling us five years from now about retiring after winning one more title.  Maybe it is because he has looked 40 since age 29.  Not Greg Oden old, but still an old look.

-Interesting about the Drew Brees injury.  Somehow we have barely noticed his .500 record and ridiculous amount of interceptions over the last couple years.  He is pretty old to recover quickly from a throwing shoulder injury.

More over the weekend.  Enjoy your Friday.  I need to go watch UVA lose to Boise State in Charlottesville, and then wait for firing rumors over the weekend for Mike London.  Peace.
