Catch Of The Day

New show addiction? Stranger things have happened…

Thoughts for the day…

  1. My new temporary addiction is Stranger Things, which Lindsey decided we need to watch last night, and now we are bingeing (Google says that spelling is right?) on it.  Quick one and then I have to go watch that.
  2. Why wouldn’t I start with a high school player breaking the backboard?  http://www.si.com/extra-mustard/2017/01/11/backboard-breaks-dunk-isaiah-banks-video
  3. In case you either didn’t read my blog yesterday, or ignored the link, don’t.  This was on the local news this morning.  One minute of your time.  https://www.facebook.com/pointswest/videos/1280562238667546/
  4. I read how Tre Mason got arrested again, am pretty sure it was an older act, but he has so many, who is really sure?  Let’s make a flow chart to track this and explain it better.  Maybe I will start a Google Doc with it too.  I don’t have enough of those yet.
  5. Everyone and their mother expected it so it is no big deal, but Watson AND who he throws to are GONE.  Williams and Scott declared.
  6. Poor Williams and Scott.  They both we don’t really care about them.  Sure, they are higher round picks, but we ( and Belichick) just care about Renfrow!
  7. Stranger Things.  Well done thus far.  AND, since everything occurs in 1983 when I was 11, EVERYTHING resonates in the show with me.  Background, clothing, hairstyles, MUSIC…even the bikes.  And Winona Ryder is GOOD?
  8. Pretty sure I have made my Steelers viewing decision I mentioned last night (as Lindsey is having a girl party and that I am used to watching the games on my couch around no one).  The Rusty Bucket is too far, and everything around me will be not totally invested in the game.  Doing Jacksons downtown in Lodo.  I have been there once during a Steelers game, had a great experience, and the entire back section is dedicated to the team.  I will give it a shot.
  9. The FSU assistant got Grayson Allen’s back and said the shove wasn’t dirty, and that might be, but DAMN is this fun overanalyzing his every move.  He deserves it because A) he did it to himself out of action and B) he is from Duke.
  10. I feel like the rest of the country outside of western NY do not care one bit about who the Bills are chasing.  McDermott is a good hire.
  11. Typically I think it would be irritating for two athletes to talk through the media about offers for a fight.  I have to admit I am quite entertained by Floyd and Conor.  Unless you live in a bubble, you know that Floyd countered the offer today.
  12. The Broncos hired Vance Joseph.  Glad THAT is done.  Great hire, and I personally had no idea he was also a Buff, so that makes even more sense.  But, more glad about the fact that I drove home Monday after work and they were talking about the coaching search on the local sports channel and not even the college football playoff championship.  Let’s get back to all sports now, Denver guys.
  13. I am still mildly interested where Wade ends up though.
  14. I won’t post pics nor discuss in length.  I will just say our “munchkin” cat (implying small) is getting fat as HELL.  I think just the ridiculous size and that low center of gravity now just means the bigger cat is toast moving forward.
  15. Pretty cool about all of the Clemson fans waiting until the players buses arrived.  6000 strong.  Nice.
  16. (We decided to watch an episode of Stranger Things before even eating, so this part of the cast is on our (her) cooking break)
  17. (episode three was amazing also)
  18. The Fuego Box just keeps getting better.  Awesome gift, Avery.  The first three sauces are AMAZING and all different.
  19. If I wasn’t hooked on my new show, I would have watched the Butler-Creighton game start to finish.  Research on two teams that might ruin your bracket in two months.
  20. Someday I will have nothing to do after and can comment on NBA ASG voting, the NFL All Pro team, and other things I have glossed over.  I work a full time job, people.  Sorry.
  21. When do Peyton and the Ole Ball Coach make speeches?  That will be two different but very Southern accents talking.  And rivals during Peyton’s time there.
  22. I am sure there are many, many people and my mother out there quite happy I don’t touch politics very much in this blog, and therefore will not make any further comments on “golden shower.”  I am so classy.
  23. Deadspin wasn’t afraid to put it on their site immediately…
  24. I don’t know about you, but I stopped reading the Rondo article yesterday in the headline…”rondo unclear…”  That is really all I know or need to know.
  25. What is UP with being the GM of the Atlanta Hawks and feeling the need to make racially charged comments?  And why haven’t I read that trend/ correlation in ONE column about this present story?
  26. The Cubs visiting the White House on Monday gave me a deep thought.  We are very close to teams visiting Donald Trump.  At least Obama likes sports and is classy.  God help us on things Trump will say.  And can’t wait to see who the first team to boycott the White House visit will be.
  27. We have to get ready for the next S.T. (that is my abbreviation moving forward, people).  Baylor thanks me very much for not busting on them even more for getting SMOKED by Press Virginia.
  28. Newsflash.  LeBron is frustrated.  That being said, I sympathize on this one.  He had a NO call on a play where everyone heard the coach say “foul him.”  That…is not good, refs.
  29. UCONN women.  90 again.  Wow.
  30. I will tell you what.  We have one HELL of a NBA MVP race going on.  Harden gets his SECOND 40 pt. game WITH a triple double.  SICK.
  31. Wow.  He is FISHING now.  Anyone excited to go to any of the pre-Manziel autograph sessions where it is being promised all autograph areas are classy or something like that?
  32. How is Rio doing?  Glad you asked.  Deadspin always has us covered.  http://deadspin.com/lets-check-in-on-rio-de-janeiro-which-hosted-the-olymp-1791042401
  33. Anyone else see that Brock Lesnar stepped on the Jets logo in the locker room, and allegedly ruining their season?  lol.
  34. Caught my attention because it involved three of my favorite people in Iverson, JWill, and Ice Cube, but look at the OTHERS who are joining this three on three league.  Wow.  http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/18453583/allen-iverson-forrmer-nba-players-join-new-3-3-league
  35. That’s it for today.  On to episode 4.  Hope you enjoyed or are at least more informed.  Will I blog tomorrow?  That is a CLOWN question, bro.  Peace.
