Moving Day.
Quick hitter once again as I have a lot going on these days. And when I HAVE time this weekend, conference tourneys will be in full swing. Let’s move.
- One day after writing about Monmouth basketball tourney odds, Gonzaga steals one of the spots, as St. Mary’s probably still gets in. Here is the deal. The Zags on paper are top 15 in the country. They have underachieved, and will take down a heavyweight (again) in the tourney after being seeded low. Gotta have size to beat them is the problem.
- Zags run of tourney appearances is pretty amazing.
- Just crunching numbers. The Warriors are now down to about 35% chance of getting to 73 wins.
- Someone pinch me so this Trump thing ends. Please.
- I am finding it as hard as I imagined shopping for a car out of state. Might just bite the bullet and find a local one at some point. But a 4WD purchase in cold weather in Colorado…not smart.
- Moving day in the NFL.
- The Jets get Forte, and this is great for both sides. The player isn’t totally past prime, and the team…well, doesn’t really HAVE a RB.
- Well, Doug Martin is a happy camper. Locked and loaded in nice weather on a team that trusts him through his early 30’s. Smart.
- With the Chargers keeping Gates and gaining Benjamin, Rivers is smiling somewhere. He actually has a young, blossoming WEAPON in Benjamin.
- I just said “blossoming.” Weird.
- And the Browns…are just the Browns and lacking one receiver.
- Speaking of the Browns, they lost former center Alex Mack too as Mack either A) went to a better team in the Falcons or B) followed former OC Kyle Shanahan.
- And Brock. I sit next to fans. They knew there would be negotiations, but not sure anyone expected him to jump…to the Texans? the Texans also picked up Lamar Miller and right about now A) Brock must have been a little more pissed at being pulled than people thought and B) Trevor Siemian is the most Googled name in the Mountain States right about now.
- Northwestern, people. Expect a trade or pickup.
- Patrick Warburton has moved too and has a new show coming out so therefore I am a happy person. Crowded. Funniest dude on TV.
- No prizes, Marty. I feel good about the weekend ones though. GREAT feeling.
