“It worked in Seinfeld, and it will work in OUR movie.”

I am not doing a second Kevin Costner theme on purpose.  It just happened.

Read it, don’t read it, I don’t care…just needed to get some things off my chest.

In no particular order of chronology or importance…

On the clock.  Not an airplane rant. Not a speed version, but it will be expedited.  Back a day earlier than expected as someone for work had to get home a day early.  Let’s turn and burn.

I am shaving my head for the fight against children’s cancer.  Donate if you would.  Every penny counts.  Thanks much, Vince.  https://www.stbaldricks.org/participants/mypage/759142/2015

  1. Greetings and salutations, people.  Thanks for coming aboard (the boat).  No “catch of the day.”  No hook, line, and sinker.”  I am mentally and physically exhausted with another 6am-5pm day tomorrow after a long two days of client visits.  I am just clearing the list next to me.  Let’s get like the song my brother just sent me.  For about 30 minutes…”Loose.”  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ruHfeq87qo
  2. LOVE the guitar riff. Kind of expected something different for the verse part, but the song works, and I could see doing a couple more pushups or a couple more squats during it.
  3. Maryland just beat Wisconsin and stormed the freaking court. Stop the madness.  YOU ALL WON IT IN 2002.  STOP IT.  YOU JUST BROKE EVERY COURT STORMING RULE OF ALL TIME.
  4. Wisconsin can’t be docked for a road conference loss to a hot conference team.
  5. You too, K-State, without the championship.  You broke the rules too.
  6. I stormed the court a few times. I believe three times at UVA.  Duke, UNC, Duke.  I have to check my ticket stubs I still have.  Maryland was just Maryland and Va Tech sucked at the time.
  7. My brother is teaching his class about Len Bias this week.  Eye opening and sad story, and I still have the signed high top from basketball camp in my closet as we speak.
  8. Ozzie Newsome says that the Ray Rice thing will affect how he picks up players from here out. So, Ravens fans, if there was ANY hopes of you getting Dorial Green-Beckham, Karlos Williams, Frank Clark, and Brandon Marshall are now dashed…in a good way.
  9. I just noticed on the wire that the Sixers picked up Thomas Robinson since the Nuggets waived him after getting him in a trade. Stockpile, stockpile, and stockpile.  I get it.  Have the most amount of draft picks and apparently the most front court players either here or overseas in the history of the world, and we will take a look at you in 3 years.
  10. 6-8 months is a long time and might cut into NFL season. 3 out of 4 DB’s that are hurt presently or coming off of injuries is a high percentage.  I am showing a slight concern for next year early if I am a Seahawks fan as Earl Thomas news not good.
  11. On the list of things that I should have seen coming in some abstract way, Michael Sam being on Dancing with the Stars doesn’t surprise me at all. Maybe they should change the name of the show to “Dancing with people who we want to have 15 MORE minutes.”
  12. On the list of things that I should have seen coming in some abstract way, the Cubs hiring Manny Ramirez to bring together old Red Sox blood doesn’t surprise me at all.
  13. On the list of things that I should have seen coming in some abstract way, Keith Olbermann finally and officially crossing the line doesn’t surprise me at all, and I am pretty sure that most hard core old school SportsCenter fans haven’t really liked him since he left ESPN.
  14. I know Luis Suarez is good, but him scoring two goals in an important match makes me kind of sad.
  15. It would be like A-Rod leading off the season by hitting three home runs.
  16. I am not sure if they are related at all, but I dislike both events.
  17. And it depresses me that Hank Aaron is rooting for A-Rod. That makes 3 people total.  A-Rod, some random Yankees fan, and him.
  18. Way to report early, A-Rod, so you look excited. You and Tebow should hang out.
  19. Maybe Adidas should start giving out $100k contracts for verticals and broad jumps and not the 40. Byron Jones is a stud.
  20. 12’3”.
  21. Tiger IS too proud to ask for help, and every swing coach and caddie he has ever had is trying not to smirk these days.
  22. I would believe that Marshawn Lynch TRULY doesn’t want to talk to the media IF he didn’t do interesting things like trying to trademark his media line “I’m just here,” which DRAWS media attention. Weak and pretentious.
  23. But at least the Seahawks are getting 100 more seats to cheer him on…
  24. I would consider caring that Federer is skipping the Davis Cup IF anyone actually cared about the Davis Cup anymore.
  25. I swear that thing is ALWAYS being played.
  26. No pictures tonight. I am exhausted.
  27. I am so much a college basketball junkie that I am presently watching Arkansas vs. Texas A&M with no interest in seeing what else is on.
  28. UVA plays tomorrow.
  29. The MLB commish says he is down for a shorter MLB season. Don’t do it.  Then, we have stat heads all over the nation excited about their translation factor for 400 home runs and 300 pitching wins.
  30. Greg Hardy was apparently the ONLY Panthers player to attend a DeAngelo Williams family funeral. Nice press, Greg, and sucks that the Panthers resumed their dissing by cutting him.
  31. The story of Chris Jones just gets sadder and sadder. Nothing like an offensively challenged team losing one of their scoring leaders heading into March playing under a class act coach.
  32. AHA! Shift our dislike from A.P. to his AGENT. Brilliant.
  33. Maybe Phil Jackson was in a deep Zen session and we don’t know what he meant by those weird Knicks tweets because he is so much smarter than all of us.
  34. I like cheesy, sweet stuff, and I think Upton changing his name to a combo honorary name of Melvin is pretty cool. Well done, lad.
  35. I lost to Lindsey in my bar created Oscars game, but I think that my picks for director and best picture should be weighted over my mixed up picks on the sound effect front.
  36. I am too tired to explain that last hook. Good luck.
  37. I got stuck on Draft Day the other night, and the movie was MUCH better than I expected. LOVED the split screen shots that I think started with Seinfeld…because everything starts with Seinfeld.
  38. Vince’s GREAT thoughts on my Kevin Costner notes from last time.
Also, I like Costner like I like Quentin Tarantino… some of the best and worst movies ever. Example…
    Costner
Best: Field of Dreams, Dances With Wolves, Bull Durham
Worst: Water World, The Postman, Wyatt Earp
    Tarantino
    Best: Pulp Fiction, Inglorious Basterds
Worst: From Dusk Til Dawn (OK so it’s only one)
  39. I think that the American Sniper killer guy is using a fake defense like in Seinfeld, and Lindsey sent me a link, but I am too drained to possibly go grey area on a borderline joke.
  40. In wake of Domino’s Pizza changing its name to just Domino’s (because it is so much more), I will debate on changing my site’s name…because it is so much more.
  41. The Browns just made their helmet color a little more…orange. Wasn’t the coolness that it was more brownish?
  42. Your return to Minnesota is NOT like the LeBron return to Cleveland, KG.  You are from South Carolina and pretty old.  Not as cool.
  43. Cool in the way that we are trying to figure out if you KNOW you will just be a locker room presence.
  44. That is it. Lindsey is out on another restaurant week thing tomorrow, so I probably will have time to bust out a Catch of the Day minimally.  Hope you enjoyed or are at least more informed.  I hope you were entertained.
