Halftime.
Kind of nice when my team (UVA obviously) is good enough to be on television ALL the time, and I don’t feel like blogging afterwards. No time for hook, line, sinker, and the river, so here is my quick hot list.

- Good feeling that the sarcasm we both have will make it across the floor or through the ceiling.
- Chapman being suspended 30 games by MLB seems about right to me. Bad incident, and MLB wants to draw the line. But you keep it at 1/5 of the season until he does something else. Still a large chunk and MLB is doing things.
- SI is reporting ESPN was unsupportive of Erin Andrews. First of all, I assume they gave her all the support she needed. Second, I love when one site reports on the other site. Cracks me up.
- I know I am busy in life when I don’t remember the last time I read Deadspin. Slacking on my favorite site.
- The Skins are set to give Kirk Cousins the franchise tag, meaning we STILL have no idea what either side is thinking or trying to accomplish.
- On the contrary, the Broncos gave Von Miller the exclusive franchise tag. Here is the deal. Yes, they should offer him a long term contract. But, he had some substance issues in a state where it is persuading. I say good call on franchising and see if he can stay out of trouble for one more year. THEN, reward him. Not like he doesn’t APPEAR to be a little eccentric.
- Speaking of substances and off court issues, the Rockets are not even in the hunt for the top of the playoff scenario and STILL think Ty Lawson is a waste of time. Buyout.
- Baylor would like a good win or two, but not feeling they will do it tonight at OU. OU has problems, but home cooking will help them.
- No, I am not reporting nor making jokes about any FIU basketball coaches today.
- We knew it was coming, but the Bills released former #1 pick Mario Williams. In a defensive system, he ended up with 19 tackles in 15 games. Tackles, not sacks, people.
- Hell yeah, Sam Bradford is signing on for two years with Eagles. Why? Because he is able to go back to pocket passing and away from loony Chip Kelly.
- In case you didn’t realize this crazy fact, the 76ers were OFFICIALLY eliminated from the playoffs yesterday. Now they can just fight it out with the Lakers for worst team of the year. Should be a BATTLE.
- The NHL trade deadline is too late in the year for a sport that thrives on chemistry.
- Heading to one of my favorite towns, Crested Butte, this weekend. What I love about this town is….HALFTIME OVER.
