Catch Of The Day

GOT Buffer Day.

No hook, line, and sinker today.  Just a hodgepodge of Monday thoughts.

  1.  I will watch it because it is the Stanley Cup playoffs, but really prefer we don’t end up with Tampa vs. San Jose.
  2. Some may want him back on the course, and some may not.  But, Tiger Woods hitting three straight shots into the water today after a press conference was kind of funny.  How he worked in how Jack’s record is still a possibility is beyond me.  Stiff or not, bro, it was the family friendly tees at like 110 yards.
  3. Bautista-Odor:  Nice punch by Odor and I think I am more impressed Jose didn’t go down on it.  We assume the pitch was for the bat flip last year, and also assume they looked at the schedule and saw that the two teams don’t play each other again unless it is postseason.  And last AB.  Oh, baseball etiquette.
  4. Thunder-Warriors:  I was saying Thunder in six games before going to sleep last night.  After examining rosters some more, I really think the Thunder need a third scoring option.  If someone like Adams or Ibaka step up big time offensively, I think they can win this thing in six games.  I am not sure that can happen four times.  So, therefore, I am going back on my initial prediction and saying Warriors in seven.
  5. Keep in mind that the Thunder were winning late in all three of those games they lost to GS this season.
  6. Cavs-Raptors:  If Jonas was totally healthy, I might see this thing happening in MAYBE six games.  He is not, and I think that hurts the chances of the Raptors stealing one of the first two games in Cleveland.  The Raptors will take one at home, and then Cleveland wins in 5 at their crib.
  7. Lindsey’s family members left regular Coca Cola in the fridge and unfortunately I am drinking them.  I can taste the sugar on my teeth each time I drink it.  But, I don’t throw away free food/ drink either.
  8. Karl Anthony-Towns won the rookie of the year today.  Unanimously.  Well deserved and he is a prototype big man these days (a second prototype if Davis could ever stay healthy).  Minnesota is a playoff team next year no question.
  9. I might lose some of the cash in traveling there, but $2 hotdogs and refillable sodas sound REALLY good to me at your new crib, Atlanta.  Nicely done.
  10. Not concerned whether Altidore comes back.  Concerned we lose a LOT of time missing him in the lineup for chemistry.
  11. We wake up in mid May and some people must think we are in an alternative universe.  The Phils are one game out of first and the Rockies are 1.5 games out.  Crazy, crazy stuff.
  12. People question Jerryd Hayne’s motivation for quitting American football and heading back to his original sport, rugby.  It IS the 49ers, so any gray area on either side of the decision was probably pushed to New Zealand because of the odd last year or two for that team AND the hiring of Mr. Kelly.
  13. The Players is not an official Major, but I am very, very scared of Mr. Day going into the US Open with his run he has going.
  14. This is your buffer day of Game of Thrones.  I won’t talk about it until tomorrow, giving people an extra day to catch up.  Hurry up and go watch it.  You missed some big stuff.  The episode was HOT.
  15. I like Nate McMillan as a coach in general and as a person.  But, not really sure of the gained advantage by dissing Vogel and hiring Nate.  Nate is great, but just didn’t see an event that triggered this in any way.
  16. I don’t know any Bills fans that I talk to regularly, but WOW what a bad day for them.  You lose one guy for basically a season, and have your stud WR hurt his foot, which doesn’t exactly help longevity.
  17. If we sit here and dissect about 5 dumb contracts from the Angels over the last few years, why NOT take a flier on Tim Lincecum?
  18. That’s it.  Will I blog tomorrow?  That is a CLOWN question, bro.  Peace.
