Because my work schedule has piled up, I won’t have another one coming most likely until I travel for work on Tuesday. I assume the release on Tuesday or Wednesday night will be a monster one. So, let’s get to this.

- Yes, I am still nervous about the Le’Veon Bell contract situation.
- Just my two cents, but I get increased awareness in racial issues, and I get that the Red Sox were the last team to bring on a black player, and I get the old owner was a racist, but Yawkey Way is legendary, is public, and is related to a foundation that has given plenty to people of all races, so I say just let this sleeping dog lie and find other ways to show awareness.
- It’s not a Confederate statue, and why don’t we rename every single item named after every single biased person ever…slippery slope?
- Maybe we can ask DeMarcus Cousins about his thoughts, but I try not to publish curse words anymore in my blog.
- You can argue any way you want about paying James Franklin close to $35 million in his new contract, but you, me, and most of the population did NOT expect the post Paterno negative bubble to become THIS positive this quickly.
- I would say one of the times in life I get depressed about not focusing on ONE sport back in grade and high school is watching Ballers and watching all of the money flow mansion to mansion.
- I would also say that my depression continues when I read about “pranks” of NFL players in a bill going from 26k to 3k, as 3k still sounds really expensive to me.
- It might be my problem, but I dislike the focus of the new Ballers season on the Raiders move, and wish they would have stuck to being just a sports agent.

- Trying out the new golf clubs this weekend on the range, and I am excited since probably about 10% of my swing problems can be attributed to the fact that I am using clubs that were made before I was born.

- So, the new Raiders are Vegas sweethearts, and have the highest paid QB on the roster, but I guess Sean Smith would like to make sure that the OLD Raiders stay intact to a point with criminal activity.
- We are all not from Philly and cheer injuries, but I assume subconsciously SOME of you internally celebrated that the Pats got ANY sort of bad news this week with their first draft pick in the draft this year, which happened to be not until the third round and they probably got like 50 additional picks for trading down.
- I don’t remember a year where there were so many NFL QB battles SO in flux with guys you could make an argument for or against pretty easily.
- Speaking of QB battles, the intriguing battle here in Denver heats up this weekend in a “game” that Paxton Lynch starts after apparently a MONSTROUS Thursday practice.
- I am just sharing this because I live in Denver, the Rockies are hot, and I am mad that somehow I have attained two cats and no dogs.
- Speaking of cats, the battle for the Cardinals Rally Cat is just such a stalemate, and not sure who is winning at this hour.
- I think there is a 10 day quarantine, but got bored looking at headlines.

- The game is going on right now, and I don’t have results yet, but if the Yanks Aaron Judge strikes out tonight, his epic HR season will also have the small asterisk of him ALSO being in the record books for most consecutive games with a strikeout from ANY position (pitcher too).
- The WAY Chris Long became a white player speaking out on issues, was well calculated, perfectly received, and thoughtful and sincere.

- I like players like Bennett because he is doing OTHER things off the field besides just sitting down on the field.
- I think you know my stand is I respect what they are doing, but I think the flag means other things that needs to be stood for.
- We saw the Lucas Brothers last night, and my favorite bit was about them saying they are one of ten active Limp Bizkit fans globally, and because God couldn’t have created such a horrible group since he is all powerful, they therefore can’t believe in God because both things can’t exist.
- Their humor was street based, yet clever and intelligent as hell, and they even did a 5 minute bit on their favorite dictators.
- They started the show pissed off that Newark, NJ was only ranked third in the year’s city violence.
- If you are telling me that you aren’t being swayed by what we are hearing about the reception from teammates of Jameis Winston and forgetting about his dumb things in college, then you are lying.
- KD says he won’t visit Trump if they are invited, and I am glad that he isn’t joining the already crowned winner for a change.
- I know-that joke was weak-I made it up on the spot in stream of consciousness.
- I won’t get into politics as I always back off from them, but I will pass along that my favorite Twitter guy asked a poll question to his 140k followers about whether Trump will lead us into A) civil war or B) world war.
- Got my solar eclipse glasses, but unknown if my work activities the next few days will give me any bandwidth to actually go SEE it.
- A visiting vendor brought a cheese plate and cookies, so Thursday was a really good day.
- I forgot how much I loved Snickerdoodles when I was a kid…remember stopping by Miller’s on the way to grandparents’ place in Western PA.
- Glad I went to Europe when I did, as I was right down the street from those Barcelona attacks when I was there for a couple of days…main way of travel was Las Ramblas.
