Thoughts for the day, and, as usual, I have lots to say even though I just posted at 940pm last night.
- Greetings and salutations, people. Thanks for coming aboard (the boat). I feel the need…the need for speed.
- Watching VA Tech and Wake. Wake has work to do. VA Tech is someone some mid major does NOT want to see in the first round.
- Jim Boeheim says that future ACC Tourneys should be in a metropolis and not Greensboro. Agreed. The irony of this situation is that the Cuse, knockout guilty of my Cavs last year, are OUT this year.
- Erik D. gave me a free turkey sandwich today, so my day can only go down. FREE food…nothing can top it. Well, except for free PIZZA.
- The Pats quietly got TE Dwayne Allen today for a fourth round pick. Doing their thing, and most people don’t know they still have top five flexibility in free agency.
- Screw it. I get the future. I get building. The Broncos should pick up Romo, ok?
- Barcelona had a LEGENDARY comeback in the second leg of Euro soccer. My question is this. Impressive? Yes. But HOW did Neymar, Suarez, and Messi get DOWN four goals?????
- Fun? Yes. But PLEASE tell me the Tebow experiment is over. If MJ couldn’t do it, NO one can and we should have more respect for baseball players at that level. NOT a walk in the park.

- That would ring true to some of my readers, but I think my blog post email goes to one of those secret Outlook folders for Ponto, who used to be my SE and is one of my favorite people. Still never understood how you “miss” a work email.
- I think the Cowboys should pick up Josh M. THAT is a guy who understands that he is a “serviceable backup QB in the NFL.”
- I was going to swim on a two a day today, but I admit to reading the UVA bball time wrong…it was Mountain time. Dammit.

- Winter Park weekend is this weekend. That is Lindsey’s bday weekend. Let’s summarize with the following. It CAN’T go any worse than Kristen’s “bday weekend,” there is no Aspen to mess up, there is a 9 foot paddleboard in our condo as I write this with no storage plans thought out, and WP is just a great town.
- Anyone want to buy a Seaquest 10 paddleboard for $300? Do you have storage? I know a guy (me). Maybe I should try the jewelry thing again.
- Hmmmm. OBJ on one side and Brandon Marshall on the other. Revamped D. Brandon didn’t even have to move most likely. Eli, THIS is your chance to get the third title to top your older brother.

- How did Serena missing an Indian Wells event make headlines? Listen, all she and we care about is the Grand Slams at this point. She is skipping the “other” ones.
- Yes, I KNOW there is a whole other Indian Wells storyline, but that is too deep for some of these readers who don’t know I used to count how many times I would hit the opponent in the nuts with my forehand BEFORE my winning stats. We were a very, very special HS tennis team.
- I was blogging in Word half my flight before I realized I could just turn on the St. Mary’s-Zags onslaught. Bad on me.
- You don’t think that Russell scoring 58 had anything to do with a response to Leonard getting 39, do you? Neither did I. Tenth of a point below a triple double and he loses MVP though.
- Somewhere, Mike Trout is throwing something at his keyboard screen (deep thoughts-if you don’t get it, don’t try, ok?)
- The “knockout pool” is starting Sunday. Listen, I have said it for at least 8 years (and won it twice). It is literally the greatest March Madness pool there is out there. You pick a bracket, but…you don’t. You get second chances…but you don’t. $25 to enter. $5k possible. Ping me if you want to get in it because A) I am tired of telling you and B) Less friends in it means better chance for me to win.
- I am waiting on betting until the tourney. Why? Because some teams (you know who you are), consider this a waste if you are in and want to rest their players.
- Wahoowa. One win tonight and we are a #5 seed. One win tomorrow also against anyone and we are a #4 seed. THAT is monstrous, people. We need a 4 seed.
- That’s it for today. Tomorrow will be my last blog until Sunday night, when Lindsey is still in WP, the teams have been released when I am on my couch, and I give you my prelim picks (I have a paper system that is so much fun (and irritating for my lady)).
