- Just some thoughts as I sit hear and write during commercials and halftime of the UL-UK basketball game.
- …which you all should be watching also. Sure, there is football on, but when the day’s best game is a subpar UCLA team against a subpar Nebraska team, you might as well kick off your day with a quality basketball game.
- Apparently, when you play on a bad team and have some boredom ON Christmas, there ARE lots of places to drive and hang out at that night if you are Armonty Bryant. And nice to have a friend in Mr. Sanders to tag along at 2:16am.
- I will tell you this. It is hard to go out a winner like John Elway, but Serena Williams is sure giving it a run. Part of me hopes she tries to destroy all records out there, and part of me wants her to hang it up so she retires as THE best in the game presently without argument.
- The Bulls beat the Thunder yesterday, and if they can somehow put aside new coaching methodology, internal locker room strife, and injuries, they really have a nice lineup overall.
- Who has the best Christmas Day record ever? The Heat won again.
- I get having Kobe being in the ASG in his final year, but don’t we need to draw the line somewhere? This stat line should not make you an ASG starter, voting fans. Not to mention his .345 shooting percentage. 13.64 PER?????
- How did I forget how moderately intense the end of Bad Santa was? Good on the movie lineup of Elf, A Christmas Story, Grinch, and Just Friends (for first time for me) for another year.

- Glad to see Ty Detmer land as an OC at BYU.
- That lightning in a bottle routine previously unknown Daniel Murphy pulled sure netted him some offseason cash, didn’t it? Nats sign him for a boat of money.
- Lindsey’s family is not down with basketball, and I have become more compromising in my years. So, I have to DVR any game I really care about. Anyway, I DID get to see the Warrior-Cavs game live at the tail end of the day at her ‘rents. The Cavs showed they can play WITH the Warriors, but the Warriors showed they are really just too GOOD when it is close down the stretch. You need something special and no mistakes and a bad game by them to really beat them. Them on all cylinders is scary. Damn, I can’t wait for those two upcoming Spurs-Warriors games in January.
