We are not even by tonight’s big Iowa-MD game, and I want to think about the weekend already. Before that, tonight should show a good present condition of MD’s chemistry problems against a powerhouse beating Iowa team who evidently is unaware they weren’t supposed to do anything this year. I like MD tonight. This weekend? I think OU-LSU’s winner will probably be odds on favorite to be player of the year between Hield and Simmons. And LSU needs a big win to even make the tourney. Big, fun game. I like LSU in the upset. And the other heavyweight matchup I want to see. UVA plays top 10 D in a controlled, non pressing style. Louisville plays top 10 D in a frenetic, pressing, and abrasive methodology. The controlled D will win due to their O making some three’s and free throws down the stretch.

The Aussie Open might have a less than exciting ending on both the men’s and women’s sides. I expected Serena to beat Radwanska, but she didn’t. She SMOKED her. If there are any worries on Williams slowing down, she just beat a very good player very soundly. Now, Serena gets Angelique Kerber, and I EXPECT she will smoke her also. On the men’s side, Djokovic took out Federer in four sets. Not seeing the winner of the Murray-Raonic coming close to taking him out.
