Crazy weekend in hoops.  A&M beats Baylor.  St. John’s strengthens its recent legacy by losing to NJIT.  #1 squad Michigan State loses their best player, Valentine, for a while.  UL’s Mathiang will miss 6-8 weeks including a matchup with UK.  What is WRONG with UK?  Jefferson will miss time from Duke.  Iowa State falls to Northern Iowa.  But, I work a full time job, so let’s just say the synopsis is Monmouth’s bench.  This week they brought new Santa Claus and Star Wars material.  And they are 8-3, with five very impressive wins  including the most recent Rutgers victory.  http://www.cbssports.com/collegebasketball/eye-on-college-basketball/25420798/look-monmouth-wins-again-bench-goes-star-wars-in-latest-celebration

“Playoffs.”

The AFC still has a lot of action left before playoff teams get their spot, but I found it crazy odd about the NFC.  With two games left, the top four have a lot of separation.  Losses:  0, 2, 4,and 7.  The NFC East is still not done, but the Falcons are the only team within shouting distance outside of that division.  And, as far as other divisions, the Vikings and Packers really are the only two who might flip spots.  Pretty stable for multiple games left.

After their start, amazing if the Falcons don’t even make the playoffs…
