Catch Of The DayUncategorized

Catch of the Day. Here I Blog Again.

Semi-speed version with some pics.  Nightly long blogs are more fun during the weekend.  I have things to do.

  1.  I love lists, so therefore I can’t get enough of the useless best ever lists ESPN is doing for the NBA.  As long as people understand that Isiah Thomas is somehow underrated all time for PG’s although my nod still goes with Magic, Bill Russell has more rings than fingers, Oscar Robertson averaged a triple double for a full SEASON, and there is no debate on Michael, than I am fine.
  2. I thought that Ole Miss football didn’t do most of the damage on their violations.  As clear as their sudden uptake in recruiting classes is the fact that 13 out of 28 violations is a good amount.
  3. I love George Karl, but when you are on the fence about a coach not losing or losing his team at his age, I think you have to part ways.
  4. Sleeping is fun because when we wake up there is NO telling what Johnny Football story will rise to the wire tomorrow.
  5. I noticed that LeSean McCoy is not as active with the media when warrants are being released for him.
  6. I am fully back on the workout train, mad I was off it for a long period of time, and amazing the increase in energy you get daily when you exhaust yourself for 45 minutes a day.
  7. I have a fun mini segment coming this weekend.  Secret.
  8. This weekend…when I am hoping to not crash this site by doing some serious work on it.  My prediction is by Monday it will look totally different, not have any click on links actually working, but will be functional for my blog.  It will be a mess.
  9. I have looked at the Beast and Bottle menu for dinner.  That is the place I rave about for breakfast.  Based on the fact I can’t find ONE SINGLE thing I fully like or understand, we are moving to a different restaurant for VDay Saturday dinner.  I sometimes feel bad for Lindsey for being engaged to someone with an 8 year old stomach.  bbCapture
  10. She has to go out with friends to go to fully mature places.
  11. I have the Lakers-Cavs game on for a few minutes.  There it is.  The Kobe intro was pretty cool.  NOW I can switch to the LSU-South Carolina game end and Baylor-K State middle.
  12. I need to watch a full half of South Carolina basketball to fully understand how they started the season so well.  Research for the tourney.
  13. I found out I don’t get a walk up song for the wedding so I guess it is about the Denver reception.  Doesn’t it HAVE to be Here I Go Again by Whitesnake?  I literally lived and breathed that song for years.  I don’t care if Ted or Old School or whoever had it in the movie and it became post hip cool.
  14. Ben Simmons is so freaking good.
  15. I am glad Roy Williams is ok from his vertigo collapse, and Johnny Football is already noting that as a possible future write off for being drunk at a team meeting.
  16. Seriously, I can’t even TALK during the show Shark Tank.  I am an addict.  LOVE it.
  17. We are doing healthy pre-marital counseling and it is fun because I really like the guy doing our sessions.  He was very interested in my church going present activity, as I was part of the locally famous Pathways fallout.  Even got Baptized again.  Think I am motivated again to try and start going again.
  18. Plus, it is a block from my house.  No real excuse.  Weird how I got a pic with dark Ghostbusters like clouds above.
  19. And take THAT Va Tech, in case you were still living vicariously through your last win against UVA.  We smoked them last night.
  20. That’s our UVA but also COMPTON guy.  Not a lot of those guys around.
  21. Jays are smart to lock up Donaldson in a two year deal, but not like they are afraid of paying anyone money to play for them.
  22. Ok.  I am not stupid and I know football.  I GET the stats exact comparisons between Earl Campbell and Marshawn Lynch.  Still not buying Lynch is an HOF guy.  Sure, Lynch is a monster and does all of the little backfield things for a team.  But, I don’t get the feeling that I am watching a SPECIAL player.  And not enough time in the league.  With Earl, I knew I was watching a legendary running back.  Please don’t dilute the HOF.  Draw the line on Lynch.  No go from my vantage point.
  23. IF you throw Lynch in the HOF, you better make an emergency action and get Terrell Davis in immediately.  At least I felt like I was watching a special player when Davis ran.  Lynch is just a thug with wheels.
  24. I am excited about the NBA trade deadline because it is a very real possibility that the Hawks totally blow UP their team.
  25. Without touching on the ridiculous recent history of the verbiage, THANK you for saying the Thursday-Friday Tourney games ARE the first round.
  26. Maybe the Clippers will tell Blake Griffin where to house shop while out for the four games.  Would be awesome if they just dropped him.  Sorry, Blake.
  27. I was impressed by Purdue last night against Michigan State, bogus reffed ending or not (wrong guy at foul line, etc.).  Put them on my list of teams that might jack up your bracket.  Since Vandy might not even be in, I can just slide Purdue in on that spot.
  28. I am getting much more solidified in my Final Four picks at this point (without the bracket of course, so kind of impossible).  But, here is where I stand after watching a good amount of games thus far.  Maryland, Virginia, Michigan State, Kansas.  Wichita State, UNC, Iowa State, and Miami are my four looking in right now.  The second four are still very much in flux.
  29. The car shopping continues.  The Jeep continues to turn heads.  I can’t go through drive thru’s at this point because the muffler is so loud.
  30. No prizes, Marty/ Rudy.  Wait until the new site layout.
  31. That’s it.  Hope you enjoyed or are at least more informed.  Will I blog tomorrow?  That is a CLOWN question, bro.  Peace.
