Catch of the Day. Bo.

HOOK:

“Winter.”

Moving parts continue.  And the Reds apparently are reloading.  Todd Frazier is now a new infielder for the White Sox after a three team trade.  Dude is classy, and .255, 35, and 89 gets you help to compete for a wildcard, but a 76-86 team needs to impress us more to make us believers.  He is only 29, so that is a good thing though.  How did Tony Gywnn play with the same team his whole career?

LINE:

“Pettine.”

Not that he makes the final calls on personnel, but I think a team’s coach who can’t even FIND a working QB who can stay out of trouble should not call Super Bowl winning QB’s they are about to face “second tier.”  Cue that old sleeping dog cliche.  You don’t NEED bulletin board material, Pettine.  You have your own problems right now.

SINKER:

“Ryan.”

Not enough nice things I can say about this guy.  Just a dude who won a couple DIII championships to give him a shot at a football school.  Just a dude who started later and is therefore a little older.  Just a dude who took his football school basketball squad to the tournament 3 times more than they had been in their history.  Just a dude who didn’t care about the top recruits, because he wanted good kids to fit into a system that worked.  Just a dude who almost rode into the sunset a game after knocking off the unbeatable Wildcats.  I kind of saw this in the cards, as he was reloading this year after losing Dekker and The Tank.  The history books will not say you pulled a Spurrier and retired midseason when you shouldn’t have (coach in waiting too).  Bo Ryan, you were the man, the myth, the legend.  You will be missed.

Get the Cavs while you can.  Irving is close to coming back.

Go see Star Wars this weekend so I can blog about it.

Emphasis has been on the Warriors (me included), and Kerr will gradually increase HIS workload, but have you noticed the Spurs are being exactly who they want to be…overlooked?  They only have 5 losses, are undefeated at home, and are 8-2 in the last 10.  Exactly like they like it.

Off the record, Jordan Smith deserved the win, and only got faulted during the season because we were looking for someone with a better voice, but it was not there.

That’s it for today.  Will I blog tomorrow?  That is a CLOWN question, bro.  Peace.
