Catch of the Day. Allosaurus.

Let’s clear the list during my lunch, as I have things to do after work, so no time.  With UVA playing at 10am tomorrow and the need to see a matinee of Star Wars, limited time.  Let’s move.

(sorry, just laughed because when I said “clear the list,” it reminded me of “clear the mechanism,” which is a line from For The Love of the Game.  That is the best combo chick flick-sports movie ever, which makes both parties happy.  She gets the love, and the guy gets the pursuit of a perfect game.)  Moving on.

  1.  If you would like to see magnificent guard play in a college basketball game, watch the 10am showing of UVA-Nova tomorrow.  Both teams have multiple scoring point guards.  Anthony Gill will once again have a big game.  Should be a fun game, but pack line D will prevail.  60-54
  2. I failed at picking all of the bowls before they start tomorrow.  Too long of list.  For tomorrow’s kickoff bowls, only one catches my eye that I might watch.  BYU-Utah will be a great game.
  3. Ty Lawson is becoming a waste of oxygen, and although the Rockets stay loyal allegedly to him during his two game suspension, not surprised HIS people are looking into his trade value.
  4. The Rockets must be proud to be congregating such misfits as Lawson and Snowball.
  5. Barkley says the ’96 Bulls would “kill” the Warriors.  I love Charles because he does not straddle the fence.  That being said, he is KIND of right in this one.  I wouldn’t say “kill” as the Warriors aren’t getting killed by ANY team (maybe my ’89 Pistons-half joking), but in a seven game series, the Warriors win 2 games tops.  That team was ridiculous and pissed.  And Michael was…come on…Michael.
  6. Brady and Gronk weren’t at practice today.  Gronk is probably just sick, and from being an owner of Tom Brady in fantasy for the last 10 years, Tom will be ready to go this week as always.  You can call him a pretty boy, but he always plays.
  7. Broncos fans.  At work I can offer hugs at the security door on Monday if you want after my boys score 30 plus again and win 34-24.  Pick your poison.
  8. Going out on a limb.  I say the Giants win against the unbeaten Panthers this week.  Bipolar teams have a habit of stepping up to the mic at home with a division on the line.  I am on the record.  Yes.  27-23.
  9. Ronda Rousey went as a storm trooper to see Star Wars last night apparently.  That makes sense.  In her last fight, she couldn’t hit anything and looked very confused.
  10. Northwestern, Notre Dame, and Stanford were top 3 in academic/ football this year.  Sooner or later, Virginia football will be good ON the field again and take over one of these spots.  Wahoowa, folks.
  11. UNC-UCLA will be an interesting basketball game because UCLA beat Kentucky and now everyone cares about them.  Not happening, Western folk.  North Carolina runs them.
  12. Ohio State is a bunch of youngsters who turn over the ball too much this year in hoops.  They play Kentucky, which smells like an ass-whipping.  That being said, the quality about being young and reckless with no expectations is that you have no fear.  No upset, but hoping the lads give the Wildcats a run.
  13. I just wrote a hook about Kentucky being the more experienced team.  Weird.
  14. Baylor-A&M will be a good basketball game.  Both teams trying to tell people they are a player in the race this year.  And whoever loses, the point guard might want to see if they can play QB for the football team.
  15. Come on.  That was funny and kind of clever.
  16. The Pats losing Blount doesn’t hurt their Super Bowl chances, but there HAS to be a point where next man up hurts you, right?
  17. Probably not though.
  18. Pats fans (and Baxter), please just send your Xmas cards to me, and I will deliver them to the Steelers for literally paving your AFC way by beating the Broncos and Bengals back to back.
  19. When Nkemdiche apologized for a lapse of judgment, was he apologizing for all of the weed in his hotel room or for jumping off the railing?
  20. If the Mike and Mike show said Star Wars was well done, I am a believer and excited.
  21. Nice to see the Rams rolled at home in what might be their last game there.  I tried to watch the game, but the uniforms were blinding my eyes.
  22. Jason Day’s wife has a kid and her reward is for monstrous LeBron James landing on her during a game?
  23. I will watch the football games on NYE, but will not enjoy it.  ESPN has to make it on NYE for at least 7 times during their 10 (I think) year contract.  That sucks.  I have to take a half day at work just to go save seats for my lady’s Sooner peeps.  2pm?  Is the entire West Coast calling out sick that day if they like football?  Stupid.  It is even MORE stupid this year since Jan 1 is a Friday, so they could do it on the 2nd with no problem.
  24. Seriously, you need to watch the Star Wars-Family Guy episodes.  Funny without Star Wars knowledge, hilarious with Star Wars knowledge.
  25. Catch the Robot Chicken ones also.
  26. And don’t tell me you are too mature to watch those shows.  If you don’t laugh at either of those demented shows, then…we are not talking.
  27. If you want good, simple Mexican food, check out the tiny La Pasadita in Uptown/ Denver.  Go in any time.  It is the same three people working.  I assume they all are family, and I assume they all sleep upstairs.  Good food.
  28. I have not had the time to read these Wambach/ Klinnsman/ Donovan articles, so I will stay away.  Probably better for them anyway.
  29. I am still waiting on more clever nicknames from ESPN for Porzingis.  Lots you can do with his name.
  30. I love Denver because the snow always melts the next day.  It has not recently.  There goes THAT stereotype for the moment.
  31. I think I am becoming a fan of the Monmouth basketball team.
  32. I appreciate the readership folks.  Good traffic this week and I greatly appreciate it.  I poor my heart into this thing as you know.  I would write it if no one read it, but love that it is spreading along.  Tell your friends and thanks.
  33. Tonight we are hosting a party for Lindsey’s sister in honor of her college graduation.  I get along with her extremely well and she is one of my favorite people.  Like myself, she loves dinosaurs.  So, in honor of the below lady, and for no other reason, the theme of the blog is a DINOSAUR.  avery-Capture
  34. When choosing my dinosaur, I could have gone with obvious ones, but chose Allosaurus, as just like the Golden Eagle (one of my top 4 animals), it always was second best and never got famous like it should.  Damn you, T-Rex.
  35. Still planning on a change of blog format and new layout.  New year, new cast.  Excited, well if I get around to actually doing it.  Not a lot of down time in my life.
  36. That’s it for today.  Hope you enjoyed or are at least more informed.  Will I blog tomorrow?  That is a CLOWN question, bro.  Peace.
