Nothing out of the ordinary for the weekend start of the NBA playoffs.  The visitor win was by someone we thought could steal a game, and the Spurs DID look sloppier than their usual playoff self, but remember they play to 4.  Adjustments will be made.  All in all, nothing too crazy.  Let the chess matches begin.  And everyone in the East hope that the Derrick Rose we saw the other day ISN’T the one other teams might face in the East.

LINE:

SINKER:

A.P. did not attend voluntary workouts with the Vikings today.  Given his past complaints and his track record, I don’t think any of us are really surprised at all.

I was sad to hear Antonio Brown skipped the offseason workout for the Steelers.  This could end bad.  Typically, the Steelers don’t re-up players until they are going into their final year of their contract.  Do I believe a player should stick with their contract as is especially since if they play WORSE, they don’t get LESS?  Yes.  Does Mr. Brown have a gripe in this case?  Maybe.  He is 27 and in his prime, was first in receptions last year, and is 13th on the WR pay list.

OTHER:

-Silicon Valley is a show that is getting better and better.

-Game of Thrones Episode Two last night was definitely (in my opinion) better than the first one.  I will say this though about this season.  There seems to be a lack of deaths in the last two episodes, and I get the feeling we are building in a week or two to something pretty horrific coming up.

-I know it wasn’t competitive at the end, but it WILL be a competitive series overall.  Stop putting the Spurs-Clippers so late at night I have to go to sleep at HALFTIME.

-SO confused on Josh Hamilton.  So, I crack on his past and how his woman stuck by him through ALL of that and now HE is filing a divorce from HER?????  Wow.  Dude.  That is the best thing in your life over the last 15 years or so.  Think you should have stuck it out.

-I am already reading articles about how MAYBE Kelly signing Tebow is a good move.  Ugghhh times infinity.

-The Blackhawks are now up 2-1 on the Predators, and I am riding shotgun on the Blackhawks bandwagon.

-Jim Furyk won something this weekend?  With the US Open coming up?  I think I will be 70 with that guy still playing competitively on the leaderboard.

-Too early in the baseball season for me to get all involved in this self-creating rivalry with ejections between the Royals and A’s.
