Catch of the Day.

HOOK:

“Eaglets…Jeagles…whatever”

All Jets and Eagles all the time…just kidding, but not today unfortunately.

-After looking more closely at the contract of Revis, that is the smartest man in football no matter WHICH team he decided on.  He got a ring, goes “back home,” is transparent about what he is doing, and probably has maximized his monetary value the most of any player out there for the last two contracts.

-Chip Kelly says he is not trying to get Mariota, but we don’t care because we still think all of these moves are a little nuts…or WAY above us.

-And the next contestant to make Geno Smith not feel special IS…Ryan Fitzpatrick.  Welcome.

-I am impressed.  The Eagles pulled Ryan Mathews, who is injury prone a little thus far, but younger…and I seriously am mildly not making as much fun of Chip as I was yesterday.

-Walter Thurmond joins the Eagles, meaning Chip Kelly has now brought on TEN ex-Oregon Duck players.

-The Jets are talking to Cromartie about a deal to hang out with Revis.  That would be a good thing for them.

LINE:

“Out.”

In case you care, the Lakers are already out of the NBA playoffs, the earliest in the season since 19 freaking 61.  Wow.  Keep coming back, Kobe.

-Sorry, St. Francis.  That was heartbreaking seeing you lose.  This team is one of five to never get in the tourney, and almost tied it at the buzzer at home last night.  Brutal.

-John Daly says the PGA drug testing is a joke, and I can’t figure out whether to make fun of the fact that it is John Daly, that he might be doing drugs, that he is still playing, that he cares about the testing, or if it is just because he knows about it.

-I think pushing back the early entry date for the NBA draft is actually a SPLENDID idea for these kids to see where they fall in place and maybe stay in school for us to enjoy.

SINKER:

“Blend.”

Hey, Amare Stoudemire.  You WERE an All Star in a galaxy far, far, away, and have played ELEVEN games (5-6) with the Mavs.  I don’t need to hear about an 11 point a game veteran talking about his team’s lack of energy.  Blend in, man.

-STOP telling me when A-Rod does ANYTHING good in spring training.  I am going to LOSE it.

-Worilds, Locker, Drew, and Willis retirements truly indicate a changing trend of wanting to stay in football at all costs.

-Not a sinker, but I still might chip around this guy.
