Catch of the Day.

HOOK:

“Soon.”

The Columbus Blue Jackets fired their coach after an 0-7-0 start.  I get the fact that you don’t want to write off a season too early.  I get that they brought in a proven winner overall with a Cup.  I just personally think that in an 82 game season, I would have let him lose another five consecutively (which he probably wouldn’t do) before pulling the plug and bringing in a new guy with a new system.  And Richards wasn’t a guy with a new job.  He is a guy that had a lot of team injuries last year, has been there since 2012, and has a winning record overall.  Just saying it was a little quick…

LINE:

“Collision.”

Although comebacks aren’t out of the question, don’t be sad about the soundness of these league championship series in MLB.  The Mets and Royals are on a collision course, and if you don’t think so, check the stats.  We knew going into the playoffs the Mets had the deepest rotation of young guns in a while, and we knew KC could just simply PLAY the game of baseball.  Well, right now, KC leads the postseason clubs in fielding and batting by a longshot (.997, .284).  The Mets have a TEAM ERA of 2.79.  Something is going to give all right in the World Series, and man will it be fun to watch…

SINKER:

“Show.”

I get not blocking the sponsors letters.  I get not blocking team numbers and names, and I don’t care about today’s resolution with Heyward from the NFL.  The league needs to let guys be creative with showing respect for family and past players as long as it doesn’t intrude with the logistics of the game and isn’t offensive.  Heyward and DeAngelo Williams are not promoting gang violence.  They are representing family members respectfully in little ways.  Let them do it.

That’s it for today.  Peace.
