Catch of the Day.

HOOK:

“Wide.”

Braxton Miller announced he is switching to wide receiver.  The most notable QB battle in the nation is now down to two guys.  Listen, this was the right move by a long shot.  Miller is an athlete who can play QB, so now let’s the athlete part of that sentence do the talking.  His stature and shoulder problems would make him a shaky pro prospect anyway.  Why not use that athleticism for a year and build cred as a guy who can catch balls?  They will score a lot, so he will get plenty of looks.  He obviously already knows ALL of the routes.  I hear he can catch.  So, the only unknown is downfield blocking, and he can learn that.  Bottom line is this is a solid move for the kid AND the team.

Of course, considering everyone is saying different things, I guess someone has to make that decision in reality first…

LINE:

“Here.”

As in STILL here.  Sure, Clayton Kershaw started the season shaky with more losses early than we are used to.  But, check out his gem last night, and we know he is still the same guy.  He threw a measly 62 pitches through 6 last night, and struck out the first 18 he faced.  He is now a sneaky 8-6 with his ERA down to a solid 2.51.  Greinke is getting the headlines, but don’t forget about the best pitcher of this generation.  He is not going anywhere only being 27 years old.

SINKER:

“Choose.”

You pick.  Is the sinker that this is the date anniversary of the 2005 Tour de France when drugged up Lance Armstrong “won” his seventh one, or is it Robert Allenby, whose story about his caddie walking off MID round is he said-she said UNTIL we remember that this guy was the FOURTH freaking caddie to walk off mid round with Allenby.  Pattern formed.

That’s it.  You’ve been great.  Peace.
