I am not going to go stat line by stat line.  People who don’t work a full time non sports job can state it better than my exhausted self.  But, I am going to cover it briefly.  Chauncey Billups won at every level pretty much, was classy, was steady, and will be one of those non HOF’ers that other players would have known they would take him on any one of their past teams in a heartbeat.  He is the basketball pulse from a state that is not exactly a hotbed for basketball in Colorado.  He chose the home town school over schools like Kansas.  He was the best player on the best team in the world in 2004 when he won the MVP and the team title overall.  He led in 2009 with Carmelo Anthony the Nuggets to their first conference finals since 1985…and Melo would still tell you he played best with Chauncey on his side.  Chauncey Billups should not be in the NBA Hall of Fame when it is all said and done if you ask me (stats don’t support it at all), but if he does get in, I won’t mind and WILL understand it.  Love that guy.  Happy trails, man, and I assume you will be working in the Pepsi Center down the street from me sooner rather than later.
