Thoughts for the day…

Greetings and salutations, people. Thanks for coming aboard (the boat). Let’s move.
Writing this during the commercials of the Duke-UVA game. Have to combine tasks…not enough hours in the day.
Once again, I don’t care if UVA is airballing shots, I ONLY care about what the opponent’s score is. On pace for 55? Nervous. Not? Not.
Well, not as much in this game. I know UVA will need to score 75 to win.
I taped the Cavs-Pacers game. Not because I want to see the game. I want to listen to Bill Walton and Dick Vitale talk for 2.5 hours during this college-NBA “crossover” night.
I was at Max’s Wine Dive using an expiring Groupon. Mac and cheese and chicken anything is incredible.
Saw a stat during the Cavs game during dinner. Had no idea. I would have gotten Terry right only. Had no idea Jamal Crawford and Vince Carter were also in the top 10 for three point FG’s made ALL TIME for the NBA.
They are saying A Cure For Wellness is comparable to The Shining? We will see. Except for Conjuring I and II, I have been disappointed my entire life since The Shining.
Holy smokes. THAT fact snuck up on me too. Usual suspects up top on the 2017 NCAA bball recruiting rankings…except for one team. Bama. God forbid if they get good again in bball. Avery Johnson is quite a lure there. #4 and one of three (four tops) teams with multiple 5 star recruits (which will change if KU lands Young of course).
The surprising Gators bball team lost Egbuno for the season with an ACL injury. Sad. Shame. Those Gators were surprising all of us. They can’t win 4-6 games straight in March without their 7/6 stat line big man.
I have never had this LITTLE of excitement for any Matt Damon movie. I don’t think I will even rent it except for blog material.
Phil Hughes saying he will keep his own rib after surgery as a souvenir…reminded me he is on the Twins now.
I get it. Separation from the last President or maybe not care much about bball. BUT, Trump picking the NCAA bracket might have been the most watched show of all time. His decision making process on so many team colors and mascots would have started a riot. It would have been great.
I like NC State’s coach, Mark Gottfried. But, he made the tourney for a few years, and is 3-10 in conference play with one of the top THREE NBA draft picks. Puzzling.
I won’t touch on the NFL players bottoming out of the Israel trip because it feels more political than sports related. I will stick with my strong suits…

The NBA trade deadline is fun enough because of the trade speculation that does NOT happen.
Melo expects to be with the Knicks after the trade deadline. I just simply hope to hear a lot less from Melo after the trade deadline. Small battles.
(maybe Melo said that right after he found out the Knicks were still the most valuable franchise)
Listen. I will keep this SHORT. I am white, so maybe I don’t understand some things in that territory. BUT, the Oakley-Dolan thing is NOT a master-slave item. Leave it alone in that venue. End of argument.
I REALLY like this kid, Ty Jerome, from UVA. When Perrantes leaves after this year, he will be my guy. Or…Kyle Guy will be.

For VDay, we exchanged gifts, ate dinner, and watched a movie. I failed once again on buying jewelry, she cooked me a magical meal of deviled eggs, salad, garlic cheese bread, and lobster, and we watched Zootopia which was decent but not amazing. Great night.
Lindsey is SUCH a great cook.

And, Baylor lost, meaning they are STILL finding ways to give the Big 12 title to KU.
It was fun to at least see a team give them a mild run and Stanford is no slouch, but 100 wins in a row…is a 100 wins in a row. IMPRESSIVE beyond all belief.
I have too much to say to include the Peter Drucker joke I haven’t made up yet. Trust me, it would only be funny to a few of us…dammit…moving on.
